    So fun fact, the "Zombie Kill of the Week" bit is a small self reference to the original pitch. Zombieland was originally pitched as a television series, with every new episode every week having a unique Zombie kill, a literal "Zombie Kill of the Week"... however they couldn't find a studio interested in the idea of the television series.

    The cameo was apparently written for someone else who pulled out at the last minute. So Woody called Bill who was working nearby Bill agreed to do it and they quickly rebuilt the set and rewrote the scenes and one of the best cameo's in movie history was born. Ironically filming was delayed for a day because Woody was arrested for possession of weed.

    I remember seeing a calculation somewhere for Tallahassee's final stand at that booth. I can't remember what guns he's using, but they have 20 shots between them. He has two spares for each, so 60 rounds total. Someone counted, and there are 60 zombies around that booth. Considering he kills all of them, that means EVERY shot was a killshot. Might have the numbers wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was 1-for-1 bullets to zombies.

    According to the Internet Movie Firearms Database (an IMDB for guns used in media), he's using a 1911 and a P226 styled handguns. Since the former has a capacity of 7 and the latter of 15 (not counting an extra round in the chamber), it is possible that he had enough ammo to take that many out with one round per kill, like you said.

  • @Easy_Skanking

    @Easy_Skanking

    Жыл бұрын

    @@blackcated5755 To further complicate it, the capacity can change depending on the caliber of the pistols. The 1911 has 9+1 when chambered in .38 Super Auto and can even show up in 9mm. It also has 7 or 8 rounds in the mag for .45 ACP, depending on maker. So, it does seem a plausible zombie scenario.

    I immediately loved Zombieland because while the OG zombie stuff goes for horror, The Walking Dead go for the 'How will people handle what amounts to a slow but inevitable extinction event?' angle and Z Nation (underrated as hell, great show, hugely recommended) went fully its own route with 'What if some humans _adapted to_ the virus?', Zombieland went for a frankly pretty realistic take: A _lot of people_ are just gonna throw the deck of cards up, let them fall wherever, and go all-out fuck-you joyridin' through the endtimes. And I called the ending 'cause Left 4 Dead taught me amusement parks = zombies lol

    Remember seeing this movie and realizing that Pacific Playland is actually a theme park in Georgia called Wild Adventures and it’s only a few hours of a drive lol.

    In case you were wondering: The 3 being on the car doors is a reference to NASCAR drive Dale Earnhardt. He drop with the Number 3 on his car door up until his death at the Daytona 500 during the final lap. Wikipedia has this bit about the Number 3 and Earnhardt: Earnhardt drove the No. 3 car for the majority of his career, spanning the latter half of the 1981 season, and then again from 1984 until his death in 2001. Although he had other sponsors during his career, his No. 3 is associated in fans' minds with his last sponsor GM Goodwrench and his last color scheme - a predominantly black car with bold red and silver trim. The black and red No. 3 continues to be one of the most famous logos in North American motor racing.
