Opening 7 is where they hit/celebrate 5yr anniversary.. same song as opening 1 but sang by the voice actors (all the crew).. opening 10 is the same too, celebrating 10 yr anniversary but its a remix with pop-acapella influence, sang by jpop band TVXQ.. the opening 24 is not shown on the video but the last one you reacted the 23.5 is the same as opening 1 but remasted for 1000th episode, its not the official opening since its only shown for episode 1000 exclusive only then episode 1001 they return to opening 23... then the new opening 24 came to episode 1005...

21:19 is a remix of the first opening which has the entire cast singing the song while the original only had one person. Ps. 34:20 the reason why this one is odd compared to the other openings is because a massive earthquake devastated Japan (think it was 2011) which also caused 2 episodes of Pokémon to become unreleased. This opening was made cheerful to inspire levity amongst the fans.

Oda said that pre timeskip is 9 months long in universe and post timeskip is a few months (keep in mind that most of that time is due to sea travel being kinda slow) Dressrosa takes place in *half a day* for goodness sake I think wano is the longest Arc and it's still just like two weeks at most

Craziest thing about One Piece is that about 97% of episodes are canon while the rest is filler, which is insane considering the amount of episodes. Another crazy thing is that the series has supposedly recently entered its final saga, so we’ll probably see it’s end in about 10 years or so

more like 10% filler, but for a series this long it's still quite impressive. Especially since the other big 3, Bleach and Naruto, have a larger percentage of filler. Naruto alone has more filler episodes than one piece while having just a bit more than half of the episodes One Piece has

uhhh no, it's an adaptation. Other than a few minor things, the anime adapts the manga word for word, image to image. Supplementary to the manga would imply the anime is either non canon or is it's own work not based on the manga, which it is. You could consider the non canon One Piece movies to be supplementary, as they are not part of the original story. @@kneau

The characters are the main draw of this series don't expect main characters to die like at all. It's not that kind of seiries. When someone DOES die it's a big event/a result of a big event and never one of the main crew. That doesn't mean there's no tension, the tension comes from emotion. You want the characters to be happy and successful in their goals. They all had hard lives and you come to love them and want good things for them.

Oda handles death differently than other shonen shows. The author believes that to have your dreams crushed by loss and suffer defeat and having to deal with it is more punishing to characters than the sweet release of death. Death does happen from time to time but its never given out cheaply. When it happens, it hits hard. The worst thing you can do as an shonen writer is to kill off characters and bring them back via magic, techniques or wishes. It cheapens their original deaths and shows a lack of creative writing skills.

It's called the Human-Human fruit. Tony Tony Chopper started off as a normal reindeer but with a blue nose. Chopper came across the devil fruit and it gave him human intelligence, allow to shapeshift into various forms. He's also the Straw Hat crew's doctor.

This show definitely has some goofy moments, but it also has some heartfelt moments, and story points that will wreck you emotionally if you stick with the story. Its worth the watch if you decide to delve into this world. I've watched since initial release here in the states, and I have not regretted a single minute of it. The animation evolves over time and the crazy character designs keeps things fresh so story arcs don't feel "same-y". I guarantee you'll find a handful of favorite characters as well as stories. If I'm remembering correctly, opening seven "We Are" was made for the first movie. Were they took the Alabasca arc, updated the animation, changed a couple of things so that it better matched the manga, and just compiled what was at the time the biggest major arc into a movie. They could have totally made a brand new opening that was focused on that arc. But instead, they took the original opening, crisped up the animation and had the voice actor of the main characters sing it. Which I really like because it was such a nostalgic treat for the fans.

Man all these recent reactors to the openings always miss opening 24. The last opening in that video is a special op that aired for the 1000th episode, not the official 24th opening. You should react to op 24 and the 25th one together as that one comes out tomorrow night

I have friends who watch one piece and it's the equivalent of me hearing about super saiyan forms in DragonBall since it's so popular lol.

"goofy design" is better than a lot of the generic copy pasted character designs that a lot of anime's we have now.

be nice if we could link the openings with subtitles so the reactors could have some context when the openings have actual characters speaking, easily answers half their questions.

One piece is like a long term commitment, if you prefer short ones then one piece won't sit with you until you find that one moment that hooks you. It is long but it's one single journey with stories of many and a whole history, this world feels lived in and the characters aren't there just to fill up space.

It might look goofy but it's the best selling mangal for a reason,, the story is epic 👍😻👍

Bro with the schnozz is Usopp, and he's a cosumate storyteller and liar; the nose is a Pinocchio reference. He's physically the weakest of the crew, but manages to fight when he has to, using tricks, traps, and his inventions, like time he pelted an opponent with rotten eggs. They cursed him for pulling pranks instead of fighting properly, but, due to the rotten egg stank all over them, they could not smell the flammable gas Usopp released in a cloud around the victim, before detonating it with a simple exploding sling pellet.

Opening 12, the one around the 35 minute mark, basically took a number of Oda's chapter cover pages and animated them. Oda loves drawing his characters just hanging out and vibing.

My recommendation is to watch One Piece through One Pace. It fastens the pace of THE extremely slow pace of One Piece anime. Another way is to read the manga.

The white hat guy's name is Trafalgar D. Water Law, he's an awesome character.

there is a substantial low amount of death in One Piece. but that makes it all the more painful when a beloved character does die. -like i've heard someone say about Luffy; he doesn't kill the bad guys, he just breaks their will and destroys their (evil) dreams. -honestly you could probably count on your hands how many major characters have died so far in One Piece

It is sooooo hard not to gush out spoilers when I watch these reactions. The side cast is huge, and you will never know who will become important so try to remember as many of them as you can. This show is an emotional roller coaster that you will never regret watching. You will laugh, rage, love, hate and ooooh boy will you CRY and it will be worth it. The second version of We Are was sung by the VAs of the main cast. It's a bit slow to start but if picks up once they leave the East Blue. You are correct. None of the MAIN cast die, but we do lose some beloved side characters.

I started watching One Piece at the height of its popularity in 2010. Now until today.

The 3 differences between the 1st and the repeat are 1. Cleaner animation 2. No sound effects 3. The cast of the crew were singing instead of the original singer

One Piece is a Masterpiece man they say it's long but when you watch this and you reach the Latest Episode you're gonna say i want more and i really love this Anime fr. You will see why this Anime is the Best Anime and Manga of All Time if you watch it and focus the story..

Because it's a show about pirates who sail around to different islands with different arcs taking place in different places, One Piece feels like a bunch of smaller shows which then add up into one big show. The number of episodes may seem daunting, but once you get started it's easy to get into.

Also we got a new ending the last time op had a ending was 17 years ago 😂

there is actually at least one more opening that the video you watched didn't have, with a song called Paint. And then there is supposed a brand new opening coming out in this week's One Piece episode.

The difference between the First opening and the Tenth opening, is there are no sounds for the various Straw Hats doing their attacks (I.E Zoro's swords making that swoosh noise in the first op) and the vocals are the voice actor's themselves singing it.

One Piece makes me smile. If that isn't a reason to watch it then I don't know what is. 😊

the smile beard guy is Gol D. Roger, he was a pirate king that already achieved everything. After his death that's when the pirates era started where everyone is looking for Roger's treasure called "one piece". the red hair guy is Shanks, he is luffy's biggest inspiration for becoming a pirate. He gives the hat to luffy and make a promise that he will take it back when luffy already becomes a great pirate. it's hard to know what's happening just from the openings, they are mostly about straw hat's crew hanging together and then showing the villains or alliances character. One piece story itself is actually so good, a series that I highly recommend to watch once in a lifetime. The biggest point of the story is the adventure, then the action and comedy.
