I remember stand by the castle every night watching the boats go by and listening to the music. Highlight of the boardwalk for me :)

Every year in the early to mid 90's, I spent the summers at grandma's with a couple of cousins in wildwood about 4 blocks from the boardwalk. Everyday for that month of the year we woke up, rode bikes on the boardwalk in the morning and since my Grandmother worked in raging waters on morey's pier, we got to ride everything, everyday for free! :) What awesome childhood memories came from here. I would spend hours and hours bent over that railing, just staring at the castle.. I miss it!

worked the castle summer of '83, noon till 12;30 am.....6 days a week....3.50/hr.....had a blast.

I worked, first half summer 1980, and all of '81. In the 'Dungeon'. It was like working, and acting, in a short movie. One of the most 'funnest' jobs, I ever had. LOVED IT😁!!!!

Thank you for posting this. It makes me horribly sad I never went to see Dracula's Caste, Brigantine Castle and The Haunted Mansion when I was a kid. =(

I remember when I was just a little girl and I kept staring at the castle, scared half to death about going in there, when I finally did. Few days later, it burned down. Now i look back and am so glad I went on before the incident.

i got to go on this ride once whn i was 6 yrs old. the yr b4 it got burnt down. im SO glad my mom talked me into going in!! i swear, if i ever become rich, i will resurrect this ride!!! does any1 remember, the last room, where this random guy comes in, and the walls start closing in on u??? tht was so cool. i loved it.

Great footage! I used to go to wildwood with my family every summer since I was 5 in the1980's. This ride gave me nightmares every time but it was worth it. The "Crush Room" in the walkthrough scared the crap out of me!!! Looking at that skull from the boat ride brings back so many memories! Thanks for posting!!!

I miss the castle so many great memories. it's a damn shame two idiots had to burn it down. I would love to see them rebuild it

I can't believe it's been over 7 years since Castle Dracula was arsoned by the two punk kids. Now the Nickels brothers (John, Angelo, Steve, etc.) can't afford to rebuild anything because whatever insurance there was wouldn't cover the cost of building a new haunted attraction. They had a stupid $8 bungee jump there on the sand where the dungeon boat was from 2003-2005. Also, the Golden Nugget building was razed but track, trains to Knoebels for new coal mine ride and props in Morey's dark rides
