That's classic Wildwood! I remember seeing it like this. When I was young my parents took me there every summer and when I got older then I started going myself. Still go for a week every summer to this day. Love it there

My entire family was alive here. We stayed at the Shore Plaza. I lost my dad in December of 1991. My sister passed in December 2019. I just lost my mom this year. My Wildwood videos of them are all that I have now.

I miss those days, I loved going into the arcades and play pinball and all the other games. Not many anymore, its all games of chance now, to win coins and tokens to trade in for junk! Actually we are going to Ocean city tonight for some pizza, Kohr's ice cream and Caramel popcorn.

Castle Dracula and Hunt's Pier are no more, in 1991 Hunt's was Conko's Party Pier and 1996-1998 the owners of Steel Pier in Atlantic City ran it as Dinosaur Beach, they took over the pier 1995 and left fall 1998. Basically the Morey's are the only ones with amusement rides now and Splash Zone opened in 2000 at the former ride area of Nickels Midway Pier when Castle Dracula was there, it burned Jan 16, 2002. A bunch of props were saved by Eric Princz and he took them to his workshop, a bunch of things were sold to collectors recently. A crest is in the Wildwood Boyer museum and a panel from a rotating light box that advertised the castle along Cedar Av. boardwalk extension. There are vids of the castle and dungeon boat ride on yt from 1991.

I noticed the second haunted house on Morey's Pier a bit further back than the old one that existed from 1972-1984. There is a vid of that at night from 1991 by the same guy that filmed Castle Dracula and Dungeon, but the link is private, I still have access to it but the links were on the old doo wop forum which doesn't exist anymore because they started over with a new one. That's about where the Nor'Easter is now. You can see the Breakdance under the Zoom Phloom, the Breakdance is gone. The second haunted house existed from 1988 or 1989 to 1991. There is one in Maine just like it at a park and zoo. It was a one level with trailers, the old one was 3 floors. Raging Waters behind the Haunted House looked smaller. When did it expand? I thought it was bigger in Aug 1995 my first time back since Aug 1983. Then I went back mid June 1996 and June 1998 and July 5-9, 2011. Ghost Ship and the Morbid Manor on Sportland Pier owned by Eric Princz and with a few old Castle Dracula people were good in July 2011, but Eric's haunted house only lasted 2011 and 2012 and was removed from the building and replaced with a paint game in 2013. Eric worked in Castle Dracula in 1985 and Brigantine Castle before that, Brigantine closed after 1984, the owner Carmen Ricci decided not to open for 1985 after the pier was inspected and it needed repairs, it was damaged in a 1982 storm. The castle sat idle then was sold to a developer in 1986-1987 and the week demolition was to begin in Sept. 1987 the castle burned to the ground. A bunch of items were removed from the castle before the fire, some wound up in Castle Dracula which met a similar fate on Jan 16, 2002.
