I notice a sign for Macks Pizza on the boardwalk, That must be one of the oldest pizza place in NJ. Great video I love History, because you can learn from it, and if your old enough it brings back great memories of your youth.

I love the oddball shots that most wouldn't thought to film back then. The night shots of rides, sunsets, the sun shining on the waves coming in,etc.Rather forward-thinking in style.

Wow, 59 years. Amazing to see what has changed, and what amazingly remains the same. Parts of the video could have been shot today. The best parts of Wildwood will always remain! The part with the map and the traveling little car was classic! You can tell if KZread was around this would have been posted! Thank you Joey for the history that would have been lost! Please support this channel with the Patreon page, it's worth every penny! Great Work Thanks Joey! 😎👍👍👍👍

I grew up 10 miles from Wildwood in the 1960s. You can see the original "Big Flamingo" sightseer boat at 3:22. It left from Sinn's dock in Wildwood Crest where the PT-109 boat operated from. Great video. Thanks!

Wow....thanks for sharing this! Its neat to see certain places or buildings that are still on the boardwalk today. I liked seeing the traditions of flag rasing and morning bike rides on the boards being the same for almost 60 years. The drive from Limerick PA was fun to watch. I just made a similar drive for a day trip yesterday. It must have been a real adventure to rely on pay phones paper maps and a late 1950s car to make the trip. I can also sympothize with that sad look when packing the car to leave for home, the worst feeling in the world is seeing Wildwood get smaller in the rear view mirror. Thanks for sharing the video, -Jason

Hey Jason!!! Thank you so much for watching. I am so glad you enjoyed it. To me this what a vlog / Day Trip Video from today would have looked like in the 60s. This gentleman made two other videos. I wish I knew his name. I love the flag tasing and bike rides. It shows that the classics stick around. And no one ever wants to leave wildwood.

This gem of a video is a real time capsule! From the year I was born, so it pretty much shows all the great memories I have of our family vacations at the shore!...'60s, '70s, and early '80s were my favorite times there. So much has changed, but we still go back every year!
