Shooting with my son part 2 - Smith and Wesson model 22A
My 7 year old son has expressed an interest in learning to shoot. So today we decided to take a couple of 22LR pistols out to the range. After going over the rules for being safe and respecting firearms, I was impressed with how well he took to it. For his first real outing, I think he did great! We had so much fun to boot! I broke up the video into 2 parts because it was too long for one. This second part features him shooting the Smith and Wesson model 22A. I normally edit out the space between strings of fire, but I left most of it in this time because his commentary and excitement is so adorable.

Nice job going over safety rules! Watched your older video's where you made #11 caps and dry fired them in your shop, how did they turn out firing a full round?

Thank you. It was a good day. I've since bought him a Browning 1911/22 that's the perfect size for him. He has asked just about every day to go out back and shoot. As far as the number 11's go, I should probably do an update on it. I stopped using cans, and I ordered a roll of copper sheeting off Amazon that's just a little thicker and holds the shape better. As far as the compound... I've gotten better and more consistent results as well just doing it more. They work pretty well.
