Tickling any driver is a terrible idea.

You don't need to use the word "tickling". Interacting with the driver in any physical way is a terrible idea. I don't even like to talk while I drive, because my attention sucks

Not the A-hole at all. Her lack of accountability, even after being confronted, and the fact that she knew about OP's childhood truma, makes her a red flag.

My wife once tugged on my arm while i was driving (can't even remember why now) and it made me swerve a bit, not a lot, but enough to scare the shit out of me. I tore into about how unsafe that was, and how she could have seriously hurt, or killed, one or both of us. Car safety ain't something to mess with. Do not play with the driver!

@@Deathmonkey361 kinda? She doesn't outright bawl like a lot do. She just gets really mopey and quiet. Like a teenager would. I'll bitch about a lot of things she does, but overall she's a good woman and wife. She just doesn't think a lot of shit through before doing things.

Tickling while driving is bad. Tickling after being told "no" because it triggers a childhood trauma shows a lack of respect. OP NTA.

She almost got him killed and turned it into a "you love your car more than me" conversation. She is a complete psycho, one that not only doesn't care about his words, his boundaries or his opinions, but his wellbeing too. Howitzer size bullet dodged.

I'm guess he mentioned to her about his....trauma with tickling, cause women always use our tramas or insecurities against us if we tell them about it Edit: i knew it, of course he told her about his trauma....

Heard this story before, I believe there is another update, where op reflected and realized his girlfriend is a psychopath, all the twisted things she done in they're relationship, even tried to push him off a cliff.

Guy being tickled has 6th or 7th basic instinct. Which made him associate it with a response for problems. Also, if a tickle is associated with something bad or someone bad. There is a reason.

You kept telling the girl that this was a clear boundary that she is not to cross and she continued to do it anyway and almost got you both killed. I fully support breaking up with someone like that. It's very disrespectful not to mention dangerous. Anyone saying this guy has anger issues is a complete tool.

What she did was incredibly stupid and irresponsible. And the fact that she disregarded his trauma and multiple requests is insensitive. But the guy himself sounds a bit tone-deaf. I understand the situation, this all could have ended in both of them dying, this is very serious, but he does sound a bit immature himself. To end a relationship over a mistake. Does he think people cannot grow and change? Also, there is nothing really wrong about a carrying friend showing up to sort things out after you ghost and ignore their friend. That is to be expected.

The problem is that he already didn't like the tickling. That he has some trauma or something about it, but she keeps doing it even after he communicated he hated it. I think this is more a situation of the drop that spilled the water instead of a simple mistake. And no, it's not okay for your friends to just show up when they don't even know the full story and it's none of their business. Unless he had committed a crime or something there is no reason for the friends to get involved.

"this all could have ended in both of them dying" " To end a relationship over a mistake" A yes, possibly ending someone is a mistake... right. Add that she refuses to respect his boundaries and she is a true winner that can't stop herself from making "a" mistake...

@@VRDejaVuYou will almost always find an idiot that will make the man the AH in the comment's.. Her tickling him for the 2nd time after he told her to stop was not a MISTAKE dumazz.. It was a deliberate choice on her part to ignore what he said.. That alone is more than enough to break up, but yea the fact that she did it while driving and almost got them killed is more than enough to break up with her....

Imagine leaving your gf who loves you and wants to see you laugh because she tickles you, as a man I can say that you're not one of us. You should be ashamed of yourself, they don't know how hard it is to find a good gf. He better have another good reason to leave that girl bcz this ain't it. "ohhh I don't like being tickled so i will break up with you now".. Acting like accidents never happens. I hope he will regret his decision.

You are insane. She doesn't care at all about his boundaries, she's stupid enough to tickle the driver of a car which no one should do ever, and she completely failed to take accountability of her own actions, which shows immaturity and narcissism. She's a walking red flag, no one in their right mind would regret leaving someone like that.
