The audacity of Mark to "fix their marriage" when he, not only Believe his ex-gf who doesn't even know op that well, try to make op choose between him or the baby, and he also try to get with his ex-gf again. The therapist might be right about Mark projecting about cheating.

Marc is somehow convinced that you've been cheating, and his baby is Jake's. He seems incapable of getting around that thought. I can't see any way of fixing your marriage. Continue your therapy, to keep yourself sane, and begin to face your future as a single mom.

The OP's ex husband's ex girlfriend should be sued by the op for dissolution of marriage and alienation of affection thanks to her actions and be made to compensate the op big time for good measure because regardless if the ex husband believe it, the ex girlfriend made it a reality down the line, so destroy a marriage, pay for it.

Never ask for the paternity test, if you're right you've given the entire game away, and if you're wrong you just hit the self destruct button on your relationship over a hunch, one which you're not actually assuaging by confirming paternity anyways since lack of an affair child doesn't prove lack of an affair. There is an exceedingly rare set of situations where asking for the paternity test is anything but a bull headed attempt to start a fight that won't go anywhere. If you're suspicious, do the test behind her back.

Feelings would eventually get involved and the relationship will surely fail. For me, it is a red flag if my significant other has the opposite sex as a "good friend." Like I said, not blaming either side but there should've been more communication here...

Im sure no one agrees with me, but i think divorcing was a mistake. When you make that vow, its for better or for worse. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, some make shitty mistakes. But the woman didnt want a divorce or abortion that whole time, but then just changed her mind when she found out it wasnt all just random or for nothing. The moment she finally got her answers and sees he made a mistake, thats when she gave up. Obviously i get its not easy, but that would have been the time to look into counseling. Now the problem is a little girl is gonna be growing up without their father around. Sometimes we have to swollow our pride and do whats best for our children, even if we have a hard time doing it. Cause i promise if they truly loved each other in the beginning up until the moment he thought adultery was committed they would be able to fix things. Im sure people will read this thinking im stupid and wrong, and you can have that opinion but divorce is almost never a good option. And i say that as a divorced man. My wife committed adultery so i am familiar with this kind of issue. I had for a moment considered counseling to see if she could be saved, after all i chose her. But unfortunately she was a piece of trash and she knew it. Afterwards shes became a whore to try to justify herself. But for these two, if neither of them did cheat, their marriage is worth attempting to save, for their daughters sake. Assuming no one is being abused of course.

I mean it sucks but there are definitely consequences to asking your spouse for a paternity test out of the blue. On one hand they could be right and the baby isn't his. On the other hand, the baby is his but the trust is broken within the relationship and divorce is asked anyway. It's a sucky reality.
