I ran a marathon up and down that pass. After 3days, heaven I felt like fighting the devil on my body! I had to take 3days leave to revisit the pass!🎉

Great driving of the Sani pass Tara. Spectacular scenery. Lovely to hear Crusoe joining in from time to time. I really enjoyed seeing the local people caring for the animals. What’s the food like out there. See you next week

1 Like the prophets of the Bible, in April 1993, I, Kacou Philippe, a man who had never been in a church, I receive in a vision, the visitation of an Angel who commissions me for a Message destined to the whole earth in fulfillment of Matthew 25:6 and Revelation 12:14. This is the account of my conversion, as well as the three great visions of the call and commission as I received them: 2 I came to conversion on April 24, 1993 according to Daniel 10:4 to 11 by a vision in which I saw myself standing on the sand of the sea and then on top of a high pyramid and then again on the sand of the sea in another place and I saw an old military truck coming out of the depths of the sea and leave behind me. I turned and I saw that it contained living people. They were women and one of them was mixed-race. 3 Then two doves came toward me and went back over the waters. It was after these two visions that I got up and went to church for the very first time. [Kc.137v37] 6 In a third vision, we were sitting in an examination room for the Advanced level test and the examiner was distributing the test-papers. I said to myself, "But what am I doing here? I do not have a good school level and what am I going to write?” And later, It was said to me: "The same way that Mary conceived miraculously, without knowing any man, the same way that Moses received in details what happened at the creation, you too, you have received the Words of eternal Life on this April 24, 1993 and it is decreed by God. Then started watching your trip to Africa - I’m a ex - Zimbo/SA living in NZ. I remember coming up the Sani Pass with my folks to that pub having just spent 2years in Borneo. You just brought back such grand memories of spending time with my family as both my parents have passed some years ago. Your content is fantastic and truly inspiring.

Dear friends, discovering bit by bit your past travels, today, 7 months after I discover Sani pass and the country of Lesotho, the Sani Pass made me remember some bridges crossing from one mountain range to another in the 4 major Islands of Hawaii, do not know if you ever been, but the view of the mountains quite similar with the pass of course roads much better asphalted. Congratulations for driving through Tara, Crusoe real little adventurer nothing phase him anymore, Canada has dinosaurs in the western provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, hope to see you there one day and explore this great country too. Nice video, haven’t checked all the comments but the “nice road” is what some locals refer to as the Chinese road as it was built by Chinese contractors and the “fluffy goats” are Angora goats kept for the wool. Watching from neighbouring 🇿🇦 as someone who loves Lesotho 🇱🇸

We are loving sleeping in the tent, it’s actually pretty comfortable and there’s enough room for the three of us. It did get pretty cold at night in Lesotho so it wasn’t our best night sleep but it’s got warmer now 😊 have a super week friend and we will see you next Sunday!

A lovely film which takes me back to February 1982. In those days the border if I recall correctly, was the pub! I was staying at The Sani Pass Hotel and a chap called Deret would drive people up to the top and down again in a battered old land rover. A drink at the pub was essential!

Back in 1982 there was no South African border post at the bottom of the pass and from what I recall, no Lesotho border post at the top of the pass, but maybe I missed it as I did not venture further than the pub! Passports were examined in the pub, where we were told that half the pub is in South Africa and the other in Lesotho!

I drove roads like this years ago in Labrador. So glad I never got stuck as the mosquitos and black flies would eat you alive. Some great fishing areas on my routes then and it wasn't easy but I touched it out with the bugs. This looked epic and amazing.

S I suspect you were misinformed, about the "72hrs" PCR test validity... As far as i know the PCR test allows you a 14days stay in Lesotho and South Africa will allow u back without having to test again, as long as it's within the 14days(first day being test results date) . The 72 hrs, is the time you have from testing to crossing into Lesotho(if your test results date is over 72hrs, the Lesotho customs officials wont accept the results).

Wow amazing! What a view of the valley and sunrise from top of the highest pub in Africa! Look at how cheeky Crusoe's smile was... he definitely can't wait to crawl I am sure!!! The guide was pretty cool himself. Bummer that the tracks were underwater but with his help, able to be made out. You would enjoy the "dinosaur bones graveyard" in WYOMING(?) USA, i think it is. HUGE. There is one over the border, in Canada, too. Far from where you are, though. Thanks for taking us along. Crusoe is divine, too.

Well done. Next time try using 4x low range. A lot less stress on the vehicle and much more traction on the rocks.Going down low range will also save your brakes from over heating.

I have full confidence in Tara driving, I love that John has absolutely no doubt whatsoever about Tara’s driving skills…..ahem, he was devilish about it😅😆‼️😍 One day maybe it has already happen or not; Crusoe will just blurt out, “MOM DAD‼️ Bloody bug….oh shit😘😁🙌🏼”. It will make me laugh for a week.😍❤️come on now, those of us parents chuckle hard and say: Nah-uh!!! He didn’t hear that at home, Crusoe’s been hanging around his older Cousin’s all summer long. The US just banned any travelers from the southern tip of Africa ... South Africa and 7 other countries surrounding it. There other countries too: UK, Canada, among others. There is yet another variant of the Coronavirus. I know you guys are vaccinated, but protect the little man. Here the Delta variant hit the toddlers and children pretty hard, and at the time there was no vaccine for them. My youngest daughter is a RN and she's frustrated with grown adults and saddened for the children. Take care and look forward to Sundays. Love.

Hi Cathy, great to hear from you. Thanks for your concern we appreciate it. The areas that we are in have VERY low Covid rates and we are being very careful. Namibia for example has very low case numbers. After 18 months on the road we haven’t had it yet, fingers crossed for the future too!! We will continue to do our best to dodge COVID. Crusoe of course is our number one priority. :) 😊❤️🙏 See you next week friend
