It’s all looking fabulous. I’m just so concerned about those steps near the bathroom with no railing. All it takes is one false step……please, pretty please, put something up, even if it’s temporary. So exciting to see the 🐝 story starting to happen. 👏

Look up on Google to find out what cover crop to grow in your area and this will replenish the soil that the plants are taking from the earth. The cover crop put back in and it’s naturally you don’t have to use fertilizer.

NO WHITE GROUT! YOU'LL REGRET IT BIG TIME! Add some "dye" to the grout if you've already purchase some , to match the tile color. Looks great and who has time to scrub grout lines with an old toothbrush? Tara..you have too much to do already! A home, a husband and 2 boys a veggie garden and green house, chickens and their coop, a dog, plum trees to harvest, an outdoor stone oven to complete, an outdoor kitchen to maintain, grounds to keep tidy and safe for the kids, property to build, bees to watch. Have I missed anything? Oh yeah, I almost forgot, olive trees 🌳 to tend to.

You need to plant a cover crop at the end of your growing. Let the cover crop grow when it dies off you get the man the tilled it into the ground or whoever comes to the farm which will add nitrogen and phosphorus back into the ground and then you have to tarp it to kill the weeds so when you start next spring, the grass won’t be there and you have to keep doing this cycle and then you will be at the point where there will be no grass growing there.

I became a beekeeper about 10 years ago but regrettably, I can’t do it anymore. My learning began when my retirement was out in front of me. Classes and classes left me certified. It was the MOST interesting learning I’ve ever done. I highly recommend you do the same. The lives of bees are interesting behaviourly and you soon realize their personalities are predestined but very intertwined with their jobs in a hive. Jump into KZread for some high level care if you haven’t already. It’s super interesting and there is a ton to learn. Good luck and bee happy! 🐝🐝🐝

Hello Newby family… Flowhive ( an invention from a father & son from Australia) is a must for anyone interested in having bee hives, just google “Flowhive”. Anyone that has had beehives knows how much work is involved, right down to having to sterilise all the equipment needed to rob the hive of its honey, to the expense of the spinning barrel that you put the honeycomb frames into to extract the honey , on & on it goes…. With Flowhive none of that is necessary. Please watch the video. You will be amazed. One of the best inventions I have ever seen. It is designed to just pull a handle & the honey flows from the hive into bottles you have positioned. So easy & clean… Loved todays video…. Everything was fantastic. Happiness in Paradise. Cheers Noeline, from Australia. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

English is my second language. While in French school in 6th grade we learned and acted out Old Mac Donald’s farm. I still remember because I was the tallest girl and I became a COW! I was mortified, but I acted my part. My father painted my shoes grey and Maman made me a grey outfit. Fast forward 60 plus years. English is now my only language in the States. All of that to say, I still like the song and many more , in English. lol! And I’m learning Portuguese along with you. That would be my seventh language… if I stuck to it seriously. I enjoyed all of the bees talk. I learned a lot. As one who has a large garden at my age, I was surprised to see the carrot planting. I thought that was hysterical. I don’t know how that would work in the Southern US though, but I will give it a try. Onions and carrots. Hummm . I’m learning about companion planting. Here, I’m being over run with okra and peppers. Want some? I tried some nightshade tomatoes. They are doing well, ….as I am pulling horn(?) worms off their stalks. Blasted worms! I so enjoy your videos. When I revamped this house, I had the floor tiled. It was so practical for so many reasons, one being cool to the souls of your feet as you drop your shoes by the door in the summer. Being in a hurry and not up to date on decorating, my tiles are 12 by 12 white tiles. I’m not picky. It does the job. If you ever feel the need to come to Arkansas, I have the room to host you. I’d love to see you , meet you and visit. I grew up in Western Africa in the fifties and sixties up to 1973. We can share stories. Hugs to all of you. Et bisous,

Finally I am watching on my phone and not my TV! I have wanted to comment on so many videos and have not had the opportunity to do so while watching and I don’t remember later. First off I love you guys. You are lovely through and through. I have been watching twice weekly since you were first working on the tiny house. I wanted to say a few things so I’m sorry if this is overwhelming. If the James Bond room is still part of the plan I recommend putting a half bath in it. We fixed up our room above the garage and never used it until there was a bathroom in it. I thought it was maybe the inconvenience of leaving the house or going up a ladder but it actually must have been the toilet situation. Especially with little kids. Next I have been just in the last couple weeks going back and watching earlier videos I wasn’t around for. It is so fun watching them now. Do you ever go back and watch your own videos? It’s amazing absolutely wonderful to see you garden begin and the lawn go in and then see your amazing mowing pattern I. This video and your rows and rows of onions. It’s so fun! And lastly I was thinking in this video that if you have several of the tile rectangles that you made by cutting off triangles to fill in maybe you could put them up the wall a couple of inches so that you could mop or just have a wet floor and not we walls. Just thought it when I saw the rectangles being made. Love love to you all I love your example of marriage and parenting in this crazy world…also mead…YES we make it it’s not difficult and is fun.

Just reminding you with the tiles only Screed one small section at a time and then wipe it off before you do the next one. Don’t leave it to the end for it all to dry on there and you can’t wipe it off. Also I think you might need a different type of screen for these tiles because it’s so porous so just find out about that as well. I would absolutely love to come and visit you guys one day in Portugal from Australia. You’re doing such a fantastic job.

Love the hat Tara better be safe from the strong Sun. Also love the tiles. Great job John did. We have some purple flower bush the bees are crazy about them so I am planting everywhere even somebody told me it is a weed. But I am wondering why a nursery would sell weed so I don't believe it for now😊. Our neighbour has some bee hives so they don't have to go farto work🐝🐝🐝😅. Love watching them buzzing around and they share the flowers with the naitive mini bees. Those native bees are not stinging. They love to sit in you especially when you are sweting.😊 Hardly can wait to see your working beehive. 🎉
