Shawn Michaels is the greatest in-ring performer of all time and many other wrestlers will agree for a reason. The man had everything: looks, athleticism, mic skills... the "it" factor. There will never be another like him. No one has ever come close and will forever be my favorite. How he looked in the 90's will always be one of my main influences fitness-wise.

An absolute Icon of the wrestling world everyone growing up loved Shawn’s matches. Incredible to see how humble he is now as an older guy. As he says his ego made him who he was at the time along with his outrageously great character, bravado and ability. Also to hear him at Bret are friends after Montreal is a true definition of how time heals hate from your past. Everyone growing up loved this guy watching his matches even when he was a heal you always had that thing where you couldn’t not like him. It's been a joy watching Shawn's career. People forget that Shawn came into WWF right in the heart of Hulkamania in the 80's and worked through the big man era. And probably during the most competitive tag team era of the time as well I'd love to know where his head was at when he decided to ditch the Rockers and take on a solo career against the odds the moment he kicked Marty through that glass. I think that is the moment that started a change in the business to what it is today. And what a legacy! Amazing how he came back from the neck injury, sat out for a couple of years and had an amazing second half to his career also against all odds. Great interview.

Part of what made Shawn Michaels so great since his return in 2002 was his ability to steal matches and make his rivalries entertaining WITHOUT being the WWE Champion! :) Sure, he has been the challenger sometimes and I was always fingers crossed, believing this one could be the one! Especially around Wrestlemania 23 against Cena where he was THE guy, or in his great rivalry against Jericho (really great together). I wish we could hear him a bit about Chris Benoit but I guess we won't as long as he will be a part of the business. HBK is the greatest wrestler and sport entertainer for me and while many fans remember him from the 90's, I have always been way more impressed by what he delivered since 2002 and the 10 years that followed :). When Shawn returned and had that match against HHH after his long lay off/ retirement. The level was unbelievable one of my fav matches.

I wasn't the biggest wrestling fan, but Shawn Michaels' last crusade against Undertaker was something I followed deeply since it was just so entertaining. The last match was my favorite of all time. Wrestling has never topped that for me.

I have always been a wrestling fan and listen to a lot of the interviews and podcasts that wrestlers are in but you do terrific job interviewing these guys. I will have to check out your other stuff besides wrestling too.
