From experience, it takes two to make heartbreak and destroy a relationship entirely. You can tell in those moments, (when he looks down), he is ashamed of his own part, which makes him a wise man who reflects on his own muck ups. We often hold others, sometimes ourselves in the vivid lines of black and white but forget the leagues of grey between the two.

I really don't get the hate for Jane, she got tricked into this by Molly. It's not Jane's fault, and you can see she still loves Sharpe; just look at how she's about to burst into tears when he's talking to her!

She destroyed his life for no reason. Running back to England and taking all his money just because he was a bit late getting back from a fight was beyond extreme. He was nearly killed by firing squad because of her. Then she jumped into the arms of the first man who came along and then continued to spite him. Helping her new man fuck him over.
