Sharing my old family's recipe for Semi homemade Strawberry cobbler | Too much butter?

* Sharing my old family's recipe for Semi homemade Strawberry cobbler | Too much butter? *
My Aunt Rosa Lee used to make this cobbler for my family. It's one of Harold's favorite! When you read the recipe, you will see butter listed three times. That is not a mistake! It uses a lot of butter but it is so good!
Thanks for following! And remember to be salt and light! - Sue

Your light surely shines. When you get those nasty comments just think about your aunt and how it would please her that you were sharing her cobbler recipe. My good friends Daddy had pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. The doctor said first thing we need to do is change his diet. My friend said absolutely not he's 96 years old and this is the first time he's been in a hospital. So just ignore the post that are negative and know there's many people who enjoy your channel and love you!!!

You didn't have to give us your aunt's recipe for strawberry cobbler mama sue but I for one am glad that you did, as far as the butter and sugar it's not to eat every day,and you don't eat the whole thing by yourself, very delicious ♥️.

This looks so yummy. You are such a nice lady to learn from. I am hoping the people that leave half-witted comments are children. I don't think a real grownup, an adult would just hit last or out. Whatever it takes to leave. Just move on knowing that this is the style of your videos. I do like when you said if you don't like it, don't make it. Kudos to you! May we all have God, love, peace and healing in our lives.

You go, girl!!!! Once in a while, all that butter and sugar is not gonna hurt you. I can’t wait to try making it. Fortunately, I don’t have a weight problem. But once in a while, it will not kill you.

Butter is better in every single thing. I used to eat margarine, but now I eat butter. LOL I love this recipe. It sounds so good. When I make a pie, I am not good at it, but I try to make a lattice crust. I use spray butter and sprinkle sugar on top of the crust. It make a beautiful shiny crispy crust on top. The leftovers from crust, I put a little butter, sugar and cinnamon and bake it to use the crust. I am going to have to try this pie. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. I am a southern comfort food cook, and I learned from helping and watching my mother.

Oh my goodness...I HAVE to try this-for a few reasons! My maternal grandparents both lived to 98 & Grams was cooking until about 94 and not always 'healthy' either. I have to cut back in the super sweet because of health issues but will never cut sweets out totally. My son loves anything strawberry. I also had an Aunt Rosalie and even named my daughter after her. I love the cooking style & recipes of my parents, grandparents & other older relatives. Not only are the yummy but the memories they bring back are so special. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

You know, all these people worried about if this or that is healthy. My great grandparents, and grandparents ate good, fresh home cooked meals! They all lived long, productive lives. My grandfather Greenway lived to be 98, and his mother lived to 103! My grandfather worked a big garden every summer up until he was around 92. His mother, my great grandmother, came to the lake where we were camping and my dad took her for a ride in the boat when she was 100! They ate good country cooking! Vegetables were cooked with fat back, bacon grease, hog jowl, or butter! I was raised on the this kind of cooking. I cook this way , too! I’m sorry, but have you ever thought about how “plant based” foods are made??? Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it!!

Mama Sue! I grew up on my Alabama grandmothers strawberry “pie”. It was made in a giant Pyrex bowl (which I have now) she layered her strawberries & sugar alternating with pieces of pie dough. She never shared her recipe with us, so I’ve looked everywhere for something similar. I tried to concoct one myself, and I found I needed to par bake the dough ahead. But her dough was rolled out flat so she did about 4 layers deep, it was sure ambrosia! Thank you for sharing your recipe. I will try this one

Mama Sue: People just need to keep in mind that we can eat these kinds of foods on “occasion.” Just don’t eat it every day. If you look at the entirety of the cobbler, you don’t get very much of the butter and sugar if you only eat a serving, and don’t eat it every day. I am diabetic, and that is how I get to have these wonderful things on occasion. Love all your wonderful food! By the way, I love your apron!! I would buy one of her aprons!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
