I thought I would share something I just learned for anyone who is allergic to Worcestershire sauce like I am. I get hives all over from it because it has anchovy paste in it and I can't eat even a tiny amount. I've looked for a replacement because there's a lot of recipes I really want to try but they all have Worcestershire in them. I found out a good replacement is steak sauce so I'm going to try that. Just wanted to share. I'm hoping it works! Also, if you're reading this and you are a Christian, I humbly ask for your prayers for my son. He's 27 and has Crohn's. But he was diagnosed with something worse a month ago. It's called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and there is no cure. It's a very rare liver disease. He has more faith than I do at the current moment because I've been coming apart over this. I know God still is a miracle working God. I just ask that prayers be sent up for him. He just started the liver pills. They have side effects though and I know he's not sleeping. Please pray for him. 🙏

Sending prayers for you mom and your son 🙏🏽 Keep a strict diet for him- look up what helps liver functions. Also check his gallbladder if it hasn’t been removed yet. I just removed mine after suffering from attacks- seeing many different doctors for years now. I had been suffering with IBS, I had colon/rectal resectioning surgery due to colon cancer just recently I had elevated pancreatic levels & high liver lipads showing in my blood work and since the gallbladder surgery my body aches, joint pain & muscle aches have greatly minimized. But I noticed the biggest change when I changed my diet- by eliminating or barely,if ever eating butter, cheese, high fat dairy & red meats and never fried foods my stomache pains and cramps and IBS has improved dramatically. Drink different teas only w honey- stay away from sugar!

My new tag line from now and forever will be " Trust the process it's a little weird" 🤣🙏✌

@@michellejones8282 we spent the night in Boone and explored there, Blowing Rock, and all over the Parkway. It was beautiful, the mountains and the towns. You have a beautiful area to call home.

You should try adding a can of refried beans to your chili.

Mel , try a pkg. of white country gravy mix , not the sausage one , bag of frozen potato squares , and carton of chicken broth, bring to a boil , turn down til thicken. It’s delish potato soup! I added milk and little water to thin out ❤❤❤❤❤Thanks Mel. Going to try the chilli O

I used the potatoes Obrien with peppers and onions and added some oatmilk too! Topped with cheese, bacon, sour cream and chives. Did on stove, ready in 15 minutes and enough leftovers for work lunch the next day!

We had chili tonight. I eat it over white rice and with saltines. My family ate it over fritos.

I save cool whip and butter and sourcream and cottage cheese bowls always. That way my kids don't wind up with all my dishes. Hahaha

I save my whipped cream bowls just like my Mom did. She had every size. When she passed away, my two sisters and I each got a matching set of Mom’s whipped cream bowls! lol

Mel I save all my cool whip bowls to pass food along to others. There is nothing to return.

I love my chili with cornbread!

I put mustard and cheese on top of my chili. It might be a Midwest thing. 🤷‍♀️Also I grew up with butter containers and cool whip containers for leftovers.

I've saved those containers for years, along with cottage cheese, sour cream, chip dip, and a couple others. I live alone, and share foods often, and those containers mean no one has to worry about returning a dish. I've also saved jars for soups. Just makes it easier. These recipes all look delicious 😋

I like to make French Fry Delight! It's french fries topped with leftover chili, chopped onions, shredded cheese, and sour cream. Also I make spaghetti 3 ways with it, etc. I still save and use my food containers I get from the store.

Oh sweet baby Jesus! I'm a single woman who loves to cook, and I love having leftovers for lunches and dinner. I couldn't find the pork gravy, so I used pork roast seasoning. So stinking delicious. I did have to add some corn starch to thicken but it was so good. Can you substitute a different gravy with what seasonings? I couldn't believe they had beef, chicken, brown, and turkey but no pork. And those green beans...just slam the door shut please. Anyway, thank you for bringing us the deliciousness for life❤

My family used the Chili O when I was a kid, and I'm in my 60s now! I always use it in my Chili. It's the best.

Forgot to add. As when I was a kid, I eat my Chili with elbow macaroni. Yummy Chili Mac.

I have baked that pumpkin cake for years. I always use a yellow or spice cake mix. With yellow cake, I add a couple teaspoons total of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, allspice. If I don't have a can of pumpkin, I can use a 2 cup package of home-processed, frozen pumpkin. The extra water in the home-processed pumpkin makes the cake center a little mushy, so I call it a "pumpkin pie cake," and people like it very well. The only topping I use is to sprinkle a generous amount of brown sugar on the top before baking. I use the same recipe for cupcakes, too. The brown sugar on top is very nice. Thanks for the recipes!

I just learned a couple years ago u can bake up a giant Jack-o-lantern & scoop the flesh for fresh pumpkin pie. I just thot for decades they were strictly decorative. Thanks for reminding me of that again! 🌻🙋‍♀️🎯🌄🎃🍁

@@sandybowman7140 That's how we process our pumpkins, by baking. Then we put two cups into each freezer container or ziplock bag, and freeze for later use. Some dogs and cats love pumpkin! And vets recommend it if your cat is constipated. I think freezing it into spoonfuls on a tray, or in an ice cube tray, then packaging for the freezer in a bag or Tupperware, would be best for pet diet supplement.

I am another Tennessee girl (middle TN) so I feel like we're practically neighbors. 🙂Just wanted to say I LOVE your quick and easy recipes SO much!! I try one of your dishes at least once a week after your video comes out. Thanks for such great inspiration, Mel! 🙂

Greetings from Georgia. I don't really care for pumpkin much, but I have used sweet potato and it still turns out great for me.

Yummy recipes I save all my containers like that and I always use them

And yes, I save whip topping containers, they handle being frozen well so work for that without messing up pricey containers 😊

I love making chili! We are going to my childhood church camp (that both my kids grew up in, too) for a reunion this weekend. We decided to do a chili bar. 4 of us are bringing chili with others bringing sides. I have never thought of adding frito's to the top of my bowl! What a great idea! I'll bring a bag of the chili cheese frito's, too. My recipe is similar to yours except I use dry beans instead of canned and let it cook for hours and hours (at least 8). And, I also add in some tomato paste to thick it up a bit. I LOVE your recipes!!! Oh, and I got a salad spinner because of you too! Love it.

The pork chops have me drooling over here! Something about Fall and pork dishes that just fit perfectly. That poke cake is calling my name too. Have a blessed week sweet friend ❤

Momma Mel, I went grocery shopping Friday and I have to tell you, I was going to buy a ham for Thanksgiving and WOW 😮 the price for that ham was 27.00 and it was a small ham . Then i was looking at the ones that wasn't spiral cut and it was smaller for 30.00 😮. I swear it cost a fortune for people to eat . But I guess I will have to break down and spend 27.00 for a ham. I pray that everyone has a very blessed Thanksgiving this year. I love your videos, thank you for your time and sharing these delicious recipes with us. My momma and Grandma always saved the cool whip containers.

I love all your recipes and the way you fix them! The only change I make is using crockpot liners instead of spraying with nonstick spray. Makes cleanup so much easier!!!

OMG--Momma Mel, I just made your pork chops with a few changes and let me tell you--this is worthy of a HOLIDAY DINNER...I love your ideas for the green beans, but I didn't have any sugar, so I made the meal with turnip greens (Margaret Holmes brand, already seasoned and ready to go) and roasted veggies (olive oil and a packet of italian spices)and a quick packet of Idahoan instant potatoes (any flavor)--SO GOOD--instead of pork chops, I used a $7 pork loin (on sale) and it was come apart tender and so delicious (my dogs were begging, so you know it was good)....I also added a can of smoked diced tomatoes and herbs (Walmart) to the gravy that you made and it was so delicious, I just cannot thank you enough...also, can make a quick pan of cornbread (1 can cream style corn; 1 can regular corn; 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix; 1 cup sour cream; 1 stick of butter: mix and cook in pan for 25 mins at 350)...this is the ONE meal to make for your second turkey day meal--or Xmas meal--everyone will be thanking you for it...thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU...SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!!! (and sooooo easy...tastes better than Grandma's) dts/usa

I save the butter, cool whip, sour cream containers, but we mix up the lids before storing foods. That way you always know the leftovers from the actual items in the fridge.

I made the cheesy chicken and potato meal yesterday. I was in the midst of preparing, when I realized I never got the heavy cream in my grocery order. I needed some moisture in it, so added some ranch dressing. It still came out great. Very comfort foodish.

I always save the containers. Learned that from my Mom! Those recipes look delicious! Will have to try them soon! Happy Fall!!

Chilio is the best! The only thing I use in my chili. When making the 2 ingredient muffins with pumpkin and cake mix, Frost them with a homemade cream cheese frosting. So delicious. Thanks for another great video.

Mel you need to try cream of onion soup instead of cream of chicken on those pork chops.

When I make chili I add queso at the end and let it simmer a while. It makes it so creamy and delicious ❤

Oh my goodness I made that dessert! It is so delicious! I put some pumpkin pie spice in with the cake and pumpkin. I have a daughter who doesn't like chocolate so no candy on it.
