These recipes always look good, but the titles are always misleading. "No oven (but you need a stovetop), just 1 egg (and a dozen other ingredients), ready in 5 minutes (but also caramelize the sugar, slow-cook the bananas, cook the whole thing for 15 minutes, flip it over and do another 5)."

Everyone but me was making this half hour long “5-minute recipe” I see by many other recipes on Utube that ALSO are driving ppl crazy, that I’m not eating nearly as crazy, i mean well, as the rest of the insane crazy world...

"The famous dessert that takes just one egg and five minutes" ... that has no name, requires a host of ingredients and will take the best part of an hour to prepare and cook. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just made it! OMG so good! Family loves it too! I used 1/8 cup sugar instead of 1/4 because I don't like things too sweet and it turned out perfect for me. Warning! Banana stays hot longer than the cake. Let it cool a bit before eating. Thanks for posting this.

I made this for my boyfriend, he liked it a lot. Instead of vanilla sugar I used a splash of vanilla extract. It came out pretty good and it was easy to make ! Yum 😋

This is an upside down chocolate skillet cake. My Great Grandma passed it to my Grandma who passed it to my Mom. Their recipe calls for baking in an oven. It's a simple, very tasty desert.

This makes me feel better about myself. There's so much content and so much of an attention span I even have. Everyone else in these comments: me too!!! Solution: microwave cakes in a cup. I promise it's a thing. I just dont remember how but I'm sure u can look it up. And I'm pretty sure it's more basic ingredients. I just have to try this recipe. It looks so good! I have a set of blue titanium/diamond non-stick cookware that I recently bought and I’ve been looking at recipes for stove top desserts. If you like bananas and chocolate, here’s a Banana Popsicle recipe I’ve used a lot over the years. My daughter loved bananas this way. You just peel bananas, cut them in half across the middle not lengthwise and insert a wooden or plastic popsicle stick in the cut side of each half, cover each one with foil wrap and freeze them. Then melt butter and chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave using a microwave safe dish, being careful to stir often and not burn it. (I usually add about 2TBSP butter to 1 cup of chocolate chips, adding more if needed to get a glossy chocolate spread.) Next remove the banana pops from the freezer and coat each one, I use a spoon, spreading the chocolate all over. Finally, wrap them back up in the foil and return to the freezer. It takes a bit of time to coat them and you may need to melt more chips, depending on how many you want but they freeze well and are delicious. You can also roll them in sprinkles or coconut before the chocolate hardens but it hardens quickly so you have to act fast.

I made this today. It's pretty good, but I was disappointed that the bananas didn't taste as tart and sweet as I expected. My guess is that plantains would make this dessert even better.

Plantains taste nothing like bananas. This is basically brownies with bananas baked in.
