Yes literally air and metal are being controlled. But if you look at the movements. She uses tai chi is which is what waterbending is based on it avatar the last Airbender. Whereas air in that series was portrayed as Bagua, a very spinny and evasive style. Then U look at wenwu and his movements are all hard and explosive. It's kinda firelike but it's also using a bit of hung gar like earthbending from​ avatar last Airbender @@linhdinhvan7341

The way they are fighting is like they are dancing with each other And they are even flirting in between the whole fight

This scene plays perfectly as a wuxia homage, down to letting the characters speak in subtitled Mandarin. If you walked in on this scene you wouldn't know it was an MCU film.

Once she took of the mask this turned into a friendly sparring match lol

It didn't try to do too much. It had a rather simple premise and executed it well. Adding in connectuons to other movies or the damn multiverse makes it way harder to make the movie itself good

The music says it, the choreo says it, their face expressions say it, the camera work says it, so mesmerizing to watch 1:42 I swear to god that cheeky little smile of his makes me smile so much. "Dang, she can fight and shes' really pretty too." The fact in that pull move, the whole time he does nothing but stare at her, when he could have easily taken her down or something. She fooled him with her charm and looks

Well I think you can also say that fighting is like a form of dancing to most kung fu type of martial arts movies. Mainly because fightings are choreographed in a way similar to dancing. There is also a noticeable rhythm in each hit in order to make these fights go smoothly.

Chinese martial arts based movies always hits. Even if this ain't Chinese, th style and martial arts used throughout the movie is spectacular 🔥 Shang chi is a tied second favorite MCU movie for me, along with Winter soldier. First obviously being Infinity war.
