The three of you have the special sauce. The chemistry, the obscure but very interesting topic that you know very well, and good production skills. This is what makes Conan's podcast brilliant, or the bodega boys. But you're doing it with a female comedic voice that's amazing. Honestly can't wait to hear more of your stuff. Keep pushing through bc eventually someone is going to pick you up

They technically used an idea for that story twice. Once within the final movie where they factory reset Buzz to his Toy Story 1 form as a space cadet, and in a short where Buzz was left behind at a fast food place in place of a happy meal version of him going home with Bonnie. To be fair the concept art makes me think of Robot Chicken and that scares me lol

Aussie viewer here. Anytime you do an Aussie accent I'm in tears, and somehow your English accents turn out Aussie when they're not cockney or posh 😂 Binging and loving your videos and podcasts, inspiring me to go rewatch or pause and watch the classics (good and bad) first. Thanks for the laughs and facts 🙌🏽

The Oscar won by Marlon Brando would have to be the one for On the Waterfront. He declined the one for The Godfather, so the 1954 award was the only one he ever accepted. Most of his property was sold after his death in 2004 and the Oscar was auctioned at Christies in June 2005. That's pretty close to the time frame when members of the oligopoly which ruled Malaysia (having done so for all five decades since Malay Independence and still does, really) embezzled the national treasury.

This may be an unpopular opinion or an arguable opinion, and contrary to what this episode may say or believe, but I don't think return to Neverland is a direct sequel since I hold Hook near and dear to my heart and consider that more of a direct sequel regardless what studio made it or plot and such I think Hook is very overlooked and maybe underrated but this could be a bias opinion... RU-FI-OOOOOOOHHHHH

I don't think the wait for the incredibles 2 was worth it. The story it told was the exact same one from first movie, just changing the genre of the roles and characters. In the first one you have a bored husband, unsatisfied with his life, being lured by a business woman into becoming a super hero again, then he keeps it secret until it's discovered that his boss was evil. In the second one you have a bored wife, unsatisfied with her life, being lured by a business woman into becoming a super hero again, then she keeps it secret until it's discovered that her boss was evil. I mean. I found people trashing movies like Avatar for much less than that. The incredibles 2 wasn't a bad movie, it was completely unnecessary and the lack of creativity into its creation is astounding.

Some interesting stuff on method acting. In 1934 American actress Stella Adler worked with Russian theatre practitioner and character actor Konstantin Stanislavski - who invented _Stanislavski's system_ on which the method acting techniques are built on. Given the emphasis that emotion memory had received in New York City, Adler was surprised to find that Stanislavski rejected the technique except as a last resort. Lee Strasberg, the "father of method acting in America", then angrily rejected this (to use emotion memory only as a last resort) and refused to modify his version of the system. The reason why Stanislavski only saw emotion memory as a last resort was - if I remember correctly - that he had experienced it having a detrimental effect on the mental and emotional well-being of the actors. So, no I don't think Jared is going to be okay... but we all knew that by now #itsmorbintime

Just got into you're channel and you're podcast about a week ago. I love every bit of what you folks are doing. You've actually inspired me to evolve my own channel with your approach.Keep it up. If I may, I think you should do a video or podcast episode about the Disney/Pixar feud. It is quite fascinating and all the other videos I've seen really don't do it justice the way I think you could. The story behind Disney's Circle 7 Animation is quite fascinating and where the stories of the Finding Dory and Toy Story 3 begin. I've seen a bunch of videos on it but never really in the comprehensive way that I think you guys would. The butting of heads between Michael Eisner and Steve Jobbs is truly the definition of a sh*t show. Thank you for doing all you do.

Paul Hogan’s script grab was probably ego driven but in Hollywood there’s a sort of petty reflex action to squeeze dollars out of a project any way you can. I always liked producer Bob Justman’s Star Trek story on how Roddenberry scammed half the money from the theme music by writing unusable lyrics for it.

That robot from rocky 4 is sico the robot made in has a very interesting backstory. One of Stallones kids was autistic, and had a really hard time communicating with people and could get frustrated really easy. The robot was specially made for the kid to help autism and communication. Because the robot worked so well with his child Stallone wanted to show it off in his movie. later on James brown used sico the robot in his live shows

I’ll never forget watching that first XxX movie on VHS with my buddy when I was like 16 or so. I thought the whole thing was so corny and cheap, but THEN, then came the scene where he’s escaping some enemy compound on his motorcycle and fucking WILLS his motorcycle into a sick jump to clear over a 20 foot high barbed wire fence. I laughed so hard and tortured my friend while I rewound and replayed that moment about ten times.

    M. Night was told his movies were humorless so his attempted jokes in Signs that were totally misguided. Example of Phoenix watching the birthday party on the news. The tension builds and builds. What are we going to see?! “Vamanos!” Laughs all around, tension released… then the jump scare. A ruined moment. Secondly, I hated how Mel Gibson, one of the most charismatic actors ever, played the character so completely flat because (my assumption is) he no longer had faith, therefore was a lifeless shell. Knowing the crazy Christian Gibson now, it makes sense why he would play it that way.
