I've played this game for over 14 years..........and this is my first time seeing this stage EVER.

I remember playing Sonic Spinball... WAIT THERE WAS A LEVEL AFTER TOXIC CAVES?

It would be HILARIOUS if sonic just flipped the pinball table when he lost XD

The gold head statutes that smile at you.... Is anyone else reminded of the Goomba's from the Mario movie?

I can't believe how many people never beat the first stage! O_o THIS level was difficult for me because, unlike Toxic Caves, you don't get a safety platform in the lava.

Sonic 2 was made in the U.S since Yuji Naka and some of Sonic Team moved to the U.S while Sonic CD was being made in Japan

Man I fucking love this stage. It wasn't that hard: just had a completely different setup than the first stage and once you had that figured out you were in for the end. That, and you can get CRAZY points in this place.

I like the Toxic Caves soundtrack the most

The Robolier Boss reminds me of the beginning of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, with the 4 faces in a diamond shape.

The point of the rings is that if you get them all on one stage you get another bonus level.

I dont know, I haven't played Spinball since I was a kid, but I could breeze past Toxic Caves, and get a game over on the first section of Lava Powerhouse each and every time.

Wow that was a short part. I can see why though, Showdown is going to be like 20 mins. I still say instead of pinball, they should've made these full fledged levels. Make them 3 acts each.

I never got all the rings in any stage other than Toxic Caves. Does that particular bonus stage change with each level or is it always the same one? (By the way, the all-ring-bonus stage is similar to the ones at the end of the stage, except you play them immediately I think).

Yep its made by the U.S team along with Compile who made the Puyo Puyo games and they made Sonic 3 and Knuckles , they got shut down in 1996 after Sonic XTreme disbanded and just formed Sonic Team USA after that

what about Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? I know it's basically a Puyo Puyo game but it uses Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog as an basis
