You can hear Luther's little high-pitched squeal on Chic's LeFreak, when it goes, "Aahh, FREAK OUT!" Luther arranged just about all the vocals on the first four Chic albums, as well as David Bowie's "Young Americans." Roberta Flack famously fired him as her back-up singer, so that he would go and do some music for himself, because he was perfectly happy supporting her.

I remember seeing Listen to My Brother on Sesame Street. I loved them so much -- every time Sesame Street came on I hoped they would be on it. But I'm pretty sure the last time they aired anything they did I was still 4. Because I remember being in kindergarten thinking about how I hadn't seen them in a while and that they probably wouldn't be on again. It was such a treat to find a few of their videos on KZread after many, many years.

Wow! You learn something new everyday. Also keep in mind that David Bowie worked with Luther Vandross & Ava Cherry when he did "Fame" written for him by John Lennon. What I loved about Simple Minds is that they had Robin Clark in their Videos because a lot of folks never acknowledge Their Backing Vocalists. Most never go beyond being a Backing Vocalist. Merry Clayton, and Doris Troy are living proof of that.

They will “choose” the good girl because she offers stability and a comfortable life. Because of her faith, she will put up with the bull more easily and she will be looking for the “good” in you at all times. Now, the flip side is he will break this type of woman down and leave her crushed because he is trash and a low life inside. This is when he will go find a low vibrational woman (the one he claimed he didn’t want) and go “kick it” with her and further ruin his life. The end.
