I remember one time my manager at my current workplace asked me “sell me this pen” and I took it from him, got a piece of paper from the printer and drew some “secret notes” on it that would benefit his company, all he needed to do was sign his name at the bottom and he’d be able to see it. I created demand for the pen, since he no longer had it, I gave him an option to benefit himself by signing the piece of paper and he gets to keep the pen.. 🤷🏽‍♂️ it worked. I did only write “I’m the best employee you’ll ever have guaranteed” which was corny but it made him laugh. Won him over in the end with humour I guess
