    Social media is amazing, I've made good friends, learned a lot of things and found people and things that inspire me, but I've been losing too much time! I also noticed I've been using my phone more and more as an excuse to procrastinate doing things I don't really enjoy doing. I'm definitely trying to put my phone away next Sunday.     Being connected to my phone is very addicting. I moved to a new state right in the middle of quarantine where I only know one person. The way I stay connected is through social media which can be draining. It's hard for me to detach from it or even texting when that's the way for me to stay connected to my friends and family. I have done a weekend without the phone before, and it felt freeing so I may try it again. Great video content btw!

    I started going to therapy and I deleted all social media off of my phone. 2020 may be the worst year of my my life (and arguably all of our lives) but i’m taking the last couple months of this year to grow and heal !!

    I love your videos, they are such a vibe. consistently... utilizing tools from therapy, meditation and such. What that has done for me is helped me learn HOW to check in with myself. If I've been on my phone for a while I check in with myself. sometimes I'm cool and I keep scrolling but others times I realize I'm overstimulated so I put my phone down. and i just go use by case slowly learning the frequency. IDK how you went all day cold turkey🤣. Thats some serious self control/will power!

Thank you for this video and congratulations on your sponsorship! 🎉 It's not so much getting distracted with social media for me that bring me feelings of anxiety (even though that creeps in sometimes too) it's the texting people back and making sure that I continue nourishing important relationships and staying connected with friends and family back home. It's important but sometimes that can be exhausting! One thing I've noticed lately for myself is that I will let my phone die and literally not charge it until later that night or the next day. My close loved ones know that it's nothing to worry about and I'll text/call back when I'm feeling recharged and able to give a mindful response. Also, my husband's phone stays charged so if it's an emergency I can be reached through him, similar to your emergency email option. I think I'll try a completely intentional phone free day this weekend!

    Hello my love!!! I love that we are on the same wave and wow I think you nailed it. It's totally feeling like if I miss a call or forget to text back that I'm not nourishing that relationship to the best of my ability, but that's not even true. I love the idea of just letting the phone die towards the end of the day, too! We have to take care of ourselves and sometimes that means unplugging for a few hours. It doesn't mean we love our loved ones any less! 💛💛💛

    This was so relaxing to watch. 💙 (I wrote a blog post on my relationship with social media not too long ago) I removed most of my apps I.e. Instagram, youtube, and any other apps off my phone, and left them on my iPad so thats definitely helped me with my daily screen time and scrolling syndrome! I also turned off my social media notifications; having limited social media time; choosing to leave my phone in my bag versus holding it in my hand have all helped. Reducing all the noise and external stimuli has definitely helped me with my own peace of mind and focus.

    Thanks for the info on curology. Will be checking it out. 😄 The phone/electronics can be addictive and a distraction from reality. When I'm outside I'm more in tune with self awareness and am grateful to be away from my phone. Indoors, I have to remind myself to put the phone away.

    This video was a pleasure to watch. I related very much to what you’ve said. I’ve been wanting to take a step away from my phone as well. My main vice is youtube; i just deleted the Instagram app... again. I’ve been taking regular breaks from Instagram during the pandemic to the point where i hardly enjoy it anymore. The only reason why i haven’t deleted all my accounts is because I aspire to work with social media in creating original content. My addiction to youtube i think stems from looking up to the people who inspire me to make content (yet i hardly make any... 🙄) and bc I’m searching for answers to questions that i know deep down only i can solve... but that’s a whole sub-avenue of thought. I’m def going to try this.

    I feel like the day feel so much longer without my phone! I don’t even use it much but putting it in a drawer gets rid of background noise in your brain? I personally put my phone on airplane mode when I sleep and don’t turn it back on for a couple hours after I wake up and it does wonders :)
