I saw her live twice in 1994 and in feb 1995. She was murdered in March 1995. It was the same show in this last concert. She blow the roof off the place. We got goosebumps watching her sing and dance We knew we were watching a once in a lifetime time talent. We were excited for her future. If she maded so did we. It still hurts.

Makes me so sad everytime I see this because she only lived a few days over a month after this. She played this concert on feb 25th and died March 31st. Poor Selena. She had her whole life ahead of her. I saw her husband in a video at an event for her and he looked like he just wanted to run away from the pain, it was just all over his face. Her family and her hubby just live daily in their grief. It’s just so sad. All the way around.

When she died, the whole classroom heard the news together and we ALL started crying. Even the teacher! She makes me proud to be Texan! My daughter was born in 1997 and grew up a HUGE Selena fan. She made her daddy buy her this concert on DVD. She went to visit my hometown of Corpus Christi at 7 with my parents and wanted to see two things, the beach...and Selena’s grave. I hate that such a BRIGHT LIGHT was taken from us WAY too early. I know she lived in Corpus Christi(and slain), but was born in Lake Jackson, TX. Corpus, as locals say it, is a beautiful place that I hate to have had such a TRAVESTY to have occurred there. I cried watching this reaction, remembering this is one of her last performances. Rest In Peace, sweet Texas 🌹 #GoneTooSoon

I just wanted to share something with you all. Selena was one natural singer and seeing her in concert here in El Paso, Texas was amazing. I have nothing against JLO but if Selena Quintanilla Perez would have been alive to this day, there would be no JLO to top her. Selena was one in a million singer with lots of talent and there will be nobody to get close to her in the Tejano Industry. Her cross over music would of been excellent and #1 just like her Tejano music. I think many other singers would of want to do duets with her because she would of been big in Hollywood.

Most of others what to show their musical knowledge with what keys there playing, if it’s a baritone or tenor. This artist are for the regular people she’s one of us , came from humble beginnings .They are not Pavarotti , Maria Callas, or placido Domingo.. Apolonia Tanorita, Selena had another concert at a club shortly after this concert and everyone said it was a standing room only crowd, no dancing what so ever, there was no room. My friend said she performed and looked beautiful as always. The night of her death, that same club held a candle light vigil, such a sad night. We attempted to go in but there were people already outside in overflow. We instead went to a Mexican restaurant where all you could hear were sniffles as people young and old, men and women were so sad and crying to her songs the juke box was playing. Rest In Peace Selena and Don. ❤️❤️

I'm from Corpus Christi, TX and The Rose Festival (Fiesta de la Flor) is an annual thing there, just celebrating her life with her music and live bands cover her music, people wear her ICONIC outfits, and she will always be the QUEEN!! . I highly recommend "No Me Queda Mas" (I Have No More), like it's literally my favorite song of hers, one of the most beautiful heartbreak songs, especially when you translate the lyrics.

Delilah Baybiie Yeah shes been singing it every other night in concert for 3 years straight.. She was SICK of it but AB convinced her to keep singing it because it was her #1 hit & it’s what most people looked forward listening to in concert. But it was definite that once she had completed the English album and another Spanish album she was gonna be retiring “Como La Flor” for a long while. AB said she was anxiously ready for him to write her new material to perform

Imagine seeing her live at a dance hall. Where you danced the night away. Or standing room only! I grew up listening to her music. I would go from city to city to see her and Los Dinos. Oh, the 90’s for TEJANO music was the best!!! So tragic what happened to her. There will never be another Selena.

We have a tendency to make our cumbias dance worthy...but with sad lyrics about breakups, death, heartache. And so forth...you will see us crying and dancing at the same time...I saw this guy crying in a quinceañera as he was singing the lyrics but he was dancing to the beats....I was like 😑....seriously....but I get it now...it is the same way we look at death...we try to turn something sad into something happy. We will be sad but as we dance we start forgetting why we are sad and just dance and eventually have fun dancing. Como la flor is a melancholic song...but fun....you can't help but smile at the end. Plus... Selena..may she RIP she brought such great vibes.

That song’s lyrics are so ironic because she’s saying “I know how to lose, I’ll leave today but it hurts so much”, and this being her last live concert and saying “I love you, I’ll see you all soon “ such a tragic loss.

This was at the Houston astrodome. That place is huge. Like the original superdome. And she mentioned that they broke a record. I think it was sold out and the place can hold over 50,000 seats, maybe 70,000. That’s a huge audience for one venue.
