Hi, if someone is wondering, I had someone confirm for me that Xbox has the same method as PC (calculated from unix time + game uptime), so I updated the tool to reflect this. A bunch of QOL features was added too, since the cure list was very hard to use in its original state. Should be much better now.

@@luanlacerda4217 well, the usual, no gambits, no buffs, need to load into an area that does not consume any rng on load, must cold boot the game

4th of August 2021, I got Seitengrat following this tutorial. A tip that isn't discussed a lot, I do think that which specific crystal you are teleporting from is important. For me, I tried the Tomb of Raithwall for a couple of days. Couldn't get it to work, went to Yensa Sandsea and worked first try at -23. Great tutorial, amazing feeling to get stuck in front of nothing in the airship :D

As of 12/22/23 it still works on the switch handheld mode. I been trying to get the hang of it, been trying -23 with no luck. Tried -24 and got it first try then accidently over shot it to -22 on the next one and got it again! Going back for #3.

Successfully did it twice in five tries of running to the airship treasure spot, including the fact I got lucky and did it on my first try. Always ran the RNG number down to +23 and was surprised at how well this worked.

Yoooo, while I was watching this video and contemplating trying this out, I was still running in and out of the cabin without any manipulation, and I just got it!

This looks so insanely complicated just to get a good endgame weapon, there is so much effort and so many numbers that need to be calculated. I love this game and grew up playing it since 2005, but man this makes the zodiac spear in the original ps2 version look simple.

It is complicated. Its honestly been a hot minute since I made this video, I would have to actually go through everything again to understand it again. Zodiac Spear is simple enough that I was able to keep it. But the switch Seitengrat method is pretty brutal.

Hello all, I'm here to inform you that this DOES work. Yesterday, January 28 2023, I used this RNG manipulation to find 3, that's right THREE, Seitengrat bows on Switch. I did check the box to mark what time I loaded my save. Whether that does anything for Switch, I don't know. I tried before without it--didn't find anything--and tried it with it and still missed it a few times. I used -24 for all three finds, and found them within about 3 hours. I did commit to some seeds that were 7000+ places away, but I grinded them out. Huge thanks to BlueHarvey for this tutorial. Good luck grinding out the runs, everyone!

Can you explain about "box to mark what time you load it". I try over and over again but chest not spawn.

Just decided to pick up this game again. Gonna try this as soon as I reach one of the mentioned teleport crystals in the description. Will update if/when I get this absurdly powerful weapon.

On xbox it works, but you must be precise when loading your game, since it uses the time and date of your console to generate the seed. I checked it and the numbers of the same cures come out, but I don't know how to interpret the list, more than anything for the chests TwT

Thanks for sharing this video. I am new to this RNG manipulation stuff but I have a question concerning how often is it possible to find a seed for the switch? Is it quite common to not find a seed at all consecutively? Thanks in advance. I like your tutorial very much by the way.

Once you close the game application and load the game again, you should get a new seed. Just doing normal resets might not help. But if even that doesn't work then you're maybe not doing something 1 to 1. This RNG Manipulation stuff for Switch and PC are ridiculous, so there could be some exceptions to things that normally(on Ps2/Ps4) wouldn't matter. Make sure you have your Gambits off (in the battle menu switch on to off)while setting up, and also make sure that, if you have the License "Serenity" licensed with the character you're Manipping with, then you have to check the specified box in the RNG Tool. It is needed for the manipulation to work. Incorrect Data in the RNG tool will make the manip not work. Hope that helps :)

It "should" work anywhere, with a telport crytal, where you can heal yourself with cure. Hope that helps :)

I can’t get this to work. What ever I use (21, 22, 23) the chest doesn’t spawn.

i know this video is 2 years old, ive tried this about 20 times and still havent gotten a single bow from it. i dont think im doing anything wrong. is there anyway someone could try it again to make sure it isnt patched out or if im actually messing up somewhere. id appreciate it!

How often do you have to try on average to get it? So far the chest did not spawn for me after 15 attempts at 4 distances (-20 to -24)

I tried atleast for like 2hours if not more to get this. It works but it doesn't (?) which isn't really helpful for me. Sorry, can't really help much more than that :/

The RNG program is new and with more functions and I don't understand it ... it is difficult for me since I don't speak English ...

@BlueHarvey I have a few questions: 1: I have seen RNG Manipulation using Reks Cures, will this work? 2: To fully recreate your method on the video, it seems that we need a Teleport/Save Crystal in the Rabanastre Aerodome? But when I go there there is no Crystal Inside.

1: Reks cures might work, but since we don't know how much RNG Is consumed on PC/Switch/Xbox when going to the title screen and loading a different save file, I did it here with out quitting to the title. Also, I did NOT use Rabanastre -> Nalina here. Here I went to Bhujerba -> Nalbina which works too for the chest to spawn. I hope this helps. Also, since I made this video, it seems as though that the Original Tool got updated. Thus, idk if it still works the same as before, since I haven't tried to RNG Manip Seitengrat since I made this video here.

@@BlueHarvey thanks bro! I am just past Barheim and read on a walkthrough that this is the earliest point seitengrad could be grabbed. But seems Switch players are at a disadvantage since the simple zoning tricks dont work. Question 3: What is the name of the area where you were curing Penelo? The one with the Teleport/Save Crystal too? Just so I could keep an eye out.

Thank you for this. Can you help me understand the five "0+" values in the percentage pattern? I get that the "0" accounts for the 1% chest spawn, the "80+" accounts for the chest having an item and the "95+" accounts for that item being the bow. What does a "0+" account for in-between the chest spawning and opening?

Hey there! 0+'s account for additional RNG values consumed as you zone into the deck and in time it takes you to go from the doors to the chest. Im a little confused the rng cure list in the video is different than the one in the drop box file. Could someone explain how it works with thr different/updated list? Also the html says it requires javascript enabled and i do have it enabled but its not working

@@grandmoffmarshmellow776 Hello! You can touch the crystal, it does not consume any position. I recommend just using PS4 cure list and fiddling with the options to figure out what they do. Here are my instructions from another video in case someone else struggles with the new version and reads this comment: You can just ignore all the new options and keep the pattern search at 0-99, it will behave exactly the same as the old version. Those additional buttons are there to help you find your position more easily and are completely optional. Out of the new features only the start/continue could be confusing, rest are pretty self explanatory (punch button moves you up 10 positions, consume button by a custom amount of positions, "level up from level" is for perfect level ups, which you don't need, 1/256 is for spawning a lvl 99 chocobo). The way start/continue buttons work is like this... Let's say you would want to search for these casts in a row - 89,90,95 - you can either type them into the search casts field and click find, or you can type 89 to the HP field, press start, then type 90, press continue, then type 95, press continue. The result will be exactly same. Another change is that the new version will find only values that are above your current position (below the black line), whereas the old version always searched from 0. That covers most of the things. ;)

Ive watched this 4x now and I think i FINALLY wrapped my head around this. No way am i trying this today after spending 2 hours trying the ps4 method l, not knowing its different now, and then basiclaly another hour figuring this out 🤣 ill post an update later whenever i get to this if it work

Honestly... I don't have a computer to do the method with a chart or program... So I have to rely on genuine luck which blows because I've ran back and forth over 200+ times... Back to the bazaar area, back to the dock, to the chest, see if it spawned or is being it's usual dick self... and on my initial count of... Well... Counting (did a few dozen attempts before but didn't count them) it took me 57 tries of going back and forth... I did a second set of counting, stopping for sanity reasons at 110, mind you I was moderately switching between times 4 speed and normal game speed, I'm presently doing another attempt at it right now without counting... But I'm so pissed that the one time the chest did spawn it was flocking rust... Why did they bother putting this in the game if it's just gonna be a harsh waste of time to get? Edit: I should note I'm doing this on the Switch Version of the game, which is running version 1.10.

It's not really meant to be found. The chest is invisible, the spawn rate 1% and it being Seitengrat another 1%. Its nigh i.possible to get for a reason.

Can you tell me what im doing wrong? When i start to get my rng seed from the very first step, the results of my cure says it cant be found :( I made sure the level, magick power and serenity is correct

It depends if you combo or not. If you punch yourself once it's 10, if you punch yourself twice (2 different attacks) its 10 + 10. However if you get a combo out of an attack you consume 10 extra per combo. Meaning if you got a 2 hit combo, you consume 10 extra over the 2 punches you already did, if you get a 3 hit combo its 20 extra, if you get a 4hit its 30 extra, and so on and so forth.

@@BlueHarvey Thanks for that, so I downloaded the tool and put in the edition (Switch)- Cure- lvl 74- magic power (75), and it tells me my cure values arent in range, I am healing for higher than it says I am allowed to. Any idea why?

If it says "Position at 1500" that means that the 1500th position is where it is at. Meaning, you could be at position 300 when it says "Position at 1500", then you have to consume enough RNG to get to 1499 and consume the RNG on 1499. Once you consumed the RNG from position 1499, you're on position 1500. 150 self attacks unarmed would consume 1500 RNG positions, so that's correct. If you attack yourself with a weapon in hand, it advances 11 positions per attack.

yes it can. Check if you have serenity on the license board. If yes, tick the serenity box(also unequip magick gloves if you have them on). Also do it on a cold boot. If you do this on a switch and it doesn't work multiple times in a row (when it says no seed found) then Restart your switch. Hope i was able to help :)

you say 1200 positions is really early. I just got "Pattern found at: 592", so... lucky me?

@@MorganSaph Combos do always consume the same amount +10. I.E if you 2 hit combo its 20 from regualr punching and then 10 from the combo. If its 3hit combo its 30 + 20 from the combo, 4hit combo 40 + 30. Every aditional hit in the combo consumes 10 more. Thats what I know from my test atleast. Its like the hits themselves consume an amount AND the combo for being a combo consumes 10. Hope that makes sense.

As mentioned in the video. You would have to try yourself. I don't have an Xbox copy of FFXII TZA to try it out. The only thing I could imagine is, that it works the same way as the Switch version. Hope this helps :)

Equipment doesnt really matter. Just make sure your Magick power is enterd correctly and stays always the same when curing. Gambits only sometimes matter. But for consistency I would recomend to disable them (in the Battle menu switch from on to off). Hope this helps :)

@@Dextru88 You don't have access to the Airships anyway. Airships/The Aerodrome only opens up after you've made it out of the Barheim Passage. That's why it is impossible to get Seitengrat before Barheim without cheating.

@@Oifik On PS5 you can use a differen RNG manipulation tool in case this one doesn't work. There is a tool specifically made for the PS2 version and PS4 version (even if its played on PS5, it still works with the PS4 manipulation tool). I made a video about that tool in the past on this channel. If you go back a couple of years you'll find it!

Should be answered in the video. It's an augument you can license on the licenseboard. It's a licenses that costs 65 LP. The reason why that is important to know is because serenity changes your Magick stat since it increases your Magick Power Stat by 1.2x when you have full HP.

at this point I prefer classic 12 and the zodiac spear. This is a lot of work to obtain a weapon, in fact its down right ridiculous on every level. Getting a cheat program, jotting down numbers, casting a set number of spells, movement speed, npc movements and talking to them, timing and so fourth. This is literally a billion times worse than opening the wrong chest for the spear and this is just for the bow. I breezed through the original with just the spear and was sad to hear the method to getting it was changed which is what originally deterred me from playing TZA, now I'm learing about these new weapons and insane methods and cheats to get them and it seems to me the game is no longer worth playing which sucks because I got 50 hours into it and I'm not even half way. But seeing how I'm a completionist and the only way to get these weapons is through difficult to do exploits I sadly have to retire this game unfinished. I think we'd be better off not knowing of these items.

Bruh, i cant follow this for the life of me. Too many words in between, unnecessary information, not enough information, like randomly punching 110 times. No explanation of the list, like what means what. We Need to know which aerodrome you teleport to, you didnt say it and the list is blocking the view. So im gonna try and simplify this for the dummies like me, and i hope i understand this right cause, man ...this hurt my head part Setup download rng cure list. enter your penelo stats. Vaan must have diamond armulet, penelo only person in party, Have an attack gambit setup for penelo that does no damage (that would be nice to know), use that to move the rng, save at location ogir yensa sandsea /yensa border tunnel teleport crystal, shutdown switch 1. Turn on Switch, load save as fast as possible 2. Cure 5 times without a gap, write all 5 down and click calculate (reboot switch if none found) 3. enter 0,0+,0+,0+,0+,0+,80+,95+ into pattern field, click find 4. Note your seitengrat position, the lower the number the better (Pattern Found at xxxx) 5. use attack gambit punch to 110 times to move rng, cure 3 times, enter new numbers in search to see where you are again (the cure numbers match your rng position in the table) 6. If your with in range (-23) go to step 7, if not keep curing until you get to -23 of the seitengrat chest position 7. get to the seitengrat chest as fast as possible without speed boost, talk to no one ( via teleport crystal to ???? bjeruba to rabanstre i guess ?? you dont say which aerodome to warp to, your list is blocking the view of locations, but i know you supposed take aredrome from rabanstre to Nalbina to get it the legit way) hope this helps someone somewhere over the rainbow

Thats the problem, its extremely complicated and almost not worth doing. I attempted this video so many times until I actually got it in the end. Its very unreliable. But I surely didnt get the Seitengrat by pure luck. The chances are 1/10 000 to get it without it. Its stupid, thats why I am no fan of the RNG manip on Switch/PC.

The Problem is that this method works BUT it's inresibly inconsistent. I tried to record the video 7 times but those all failed due to unknown reasons. But I got it to work which shows that it does work! But due to the nature of how RNG works on the non Playstation releases of The Zodiac Age, it's not really consistent.
