I love Under Defeat. The HD version is also available for the Xbox 360. The good thing about the PS3 version is that it offers twin-stick capability (something the Dreamcast cannot do, unfortunately), which is perfect for this game.

Gigawing 2 is also playable at 4 players, which is actually insane!

Great video. I picked up a JP Dreamcast last year and now have a number of these. Ikaruga, Border Down and Under Defeat are my favourites this far. Treasure and G Rev. What’s not to love

I owned Border Down and Under Defeat. The problem with that is the instant you sell them you regret it as you know they'll be worth even more ludicrous amounts of money just a few months later. Loved Ikaruga, never got that far but the enemies white bullets looked like little sweets (candy in Murican) , so tasty!

Boatload of indie games aside, there are a few good shooters I didn't see here, two of which are in my favorites. I didn't notice Karous, Mars Matrix, or Trigger Heart Excelica. Mars Matrix, Trigger Heart Excelica, and Border Down were my favorite shooters on the system. If I had to pick one, it'd be Mars Matrix. As far as favorite DC game goes... I'm really not sure. Jet Grind Radio? Blue Stinger? Power Stone? Bangai-O? Guilty Gear X? CrazyTaxi? I dunno. I'd need to spend a few days playing to narrow it down. Maybe even a dark horse like Langrisser Millennium

Were you playing gunbird 2 via forcing VGA? Gundbird 2 is known to slow down via VGA because it wasn't designed for it. Play via S-Video on your CRT like it was intended.

I was using my newly modded hdmi Dreamcast 🙁 maybe it didn’t work as well as I thought it would.

@@SecondOpinionGames1 yeah, the HDMI mod uses the VGA out so that's why the game was super slow.

@@SecondOpinionGames1 Not that I know of off hand. Usually if the game isn't compatible it just won't work at all. Gunbird 2 is the exception of working but just really poorly.

I just got these on eBay on the auction of her arm and paid 104 under defeated and 270 for karoua for the Dreamcast so I paid out like 401 so you say its worth it in a perfect condition complete with box manual and CDs no scratches 🕹🎮😀👍🏾

@SecondOpinionGames1 the other one was karous I mean to say I think the auction that got me good because I kept biding against other dude because I seen those brand-new for like $174 but mine's is region free I don't know if the other ones are region-free cuz they all Japanese so long as work for Sega Dreamcast America with taxes it was 293 I think I paid a little too much but it's okay because region-free works all all Dreamcast which is good🕹🎮😀👍🏾
