Wow thank you so much for this video. I bought this racing wheel like four months ago. Never even opened the box until today after watching your video. Playing Burnout Revenge and it is amazing so much fun. I 💯 percent recommend the Xbox 360 wireless Racing wheel with force feedback. I give the game and the wheel a 9.5 Everything can be better. Even you do not like video games you have to try this thing. Than you again for the video🎡

Since the 3DO controller doesn't have as many buttons as the Jaguar controller, would the 3DO version of this game be easier to pick up and play?

I believe the huge status bar in Jag Raiden was to preserve the aspect ratio of the arcade game, which iirc was longer vertically than horizontally. If the bar wasn't there there would probably be no horizontal scrolling at all on the Jag version, and also you would have a load of enemies that would not have been seen that would now be seen and would shoot at you, making the game far more difficult. It's not in any way due to the Jag's capabilities, as I think this is mostly running off the 68k rather than the custom chips. Bit cheap (probably due to timescales and budget) to use the status bar rather than rebalancing the game, but more authentic in a way.

Really the pack in game Gate of Thunder over Lords of Thunder which is also good but my favorite is Vasteel. It’s a turn based strategy mech game that goes into hand to hand arcade combat mode using fists, bullets, lasers & rockets etc when you land on an occupied space. Incredible single player campaign and even better in multiplayer. Beyond Shadowgate is another great game, action, adventure type

I think the daisy chain would of been a good idea if there were still two ports. Port 1 could be odd players and port 2 could be even players. This could elimate the need for a multitap. 6 face buttons should of been a thing though.

I do respect your opinion, and if you don't like the game, then it's not for you. Every person on this planet has different experiences and playstyles, so I couldn't just take anyone's word for a game, because the only way to know if a game is good or bad for one's self is to try it yourself, and so I did. So far, the criticisms you made for this game are real, but there's something about this game that keeps me coming back. Maybe it's the fact I just got a Jaguar and this game two days ago (at the time ofnthis comment was made), or the appreciation for what innovation Atari was going for, or maybe I just like to challenge myself to a racing game with broken controls! Who knows? The quirky history about the Jaguar seems so inviting sometimes.

I too revisit this game from time to time. It has a unique 'white knuckle' driving experience not typically found on arcade style racers. If you consistently use wet tires and high airfoil, it'll control a bit better and you wont crash as much. You'll still have to use the brakes to navigate some of the turns though.

In some of these comparisons (in both part 1 and 2) I prefer the 2600 colors. For example, I do not like the white colors in Coleco's Cabbage Patch Kids. Plus a lot of Coleco's games have this over the top brightness to them. That said, I probably would have chosen the Coleco over the Atari back in the day.

If the 3DO had less games like this and more playable games like Raiden, gradius, r type, mortal kombat, most of the SNK fighting games more 2D platformer games, then the console might not have been that much of a failure, and I'd say it probably could've used more driving games and RPG games as well

An early statement from Atari regarding the game.. KASUMI NINJA is receiving special attention inside Atari. The nine fighters in KN still haven’t been finalized, but at press time, the line-up reads like this: Ninja Warrior, Yeti, Amazon Queen, African- American streetfighter, Goth, British pugilist, Scottish Highlander, and American Indian. (Yes, that’s only eight.) - The fighters in KN are digitized from live actors, and with the design work taking place at Hand Made Software in Manchester, UK, there’s not a lot of American Indian actors in the local talent pool to choose from. Atari Corp. was concerned about the ethics of casting a non-American Indian in the role, and decided upon flying Lawton, OK native Gene Sovo (Lonesome Dove) to the UK, where he will be digitized into the game.

Bust-A-Move 4 and MDK2!? Bust-A-Move is a time tested classic and the controls in MDK2 aren't THAT bad. That's like saying Goldeneye on the N64 is "bad" because there isn't a second analog stick.

Bust A Move 4 is probably the best Bust A Move game in the series by far so I'd really take that back as there is more to this game than just your second opinion.
