I was interested by the Ergochair 2 until I read negative comments. This chair is probably the chinese BIFMA Luxury chair, only rebranded by Autonomous (new logo, doc and package). The BIFMA Luxury can be bought on alibaba for 150 US$. So...you're probably right about price/quality

I like how u say unbiased but your link to secret labs says affiliate, and then go on to say nothing but good about the titan and bad about the ergo.

In the US, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has guidelines that you have to follow if you're an affiliate marketer. Affiliate links are common. If he liked the the other one better, then he would put his affiliate link there. I find him more believable than people who receive,the chair for free. If he really wanted to deceive people he can easily say nice things about both chairs and place affiliate links for both. Example: ‘I love both chairs, but the edge goes to the titan, links on the description” this is what I see on most reviews.

@@mmalecke3886 Affiliate links are not deals between video producers and the product. Affiliate links allow you to put a link to a product you like and if someone buys it with the link, the person gets a few bucks like he does for all his cpu gear listed there. Anyone can do it. He isn't sponsored, which I think is what you have confused here.

A friend of mine tried out the ergochair 2, I checked it out while he had it. Totally agree with your commentary. The chair back felt flimsy, the cushion was just average, same exact thing on the plastic strut on the back where it looked worn out. Definitely a bit underwhelming for a 400$ chair.

I pulled the trigger on a secretlab Omega chair 9 minutes in. I was searching KZread for a month trying to decide which one to get. Couldn’t decide most videos seemed like bs, I was about to get just a cheap chair from the computer store but I knew I would regret it. So thank you for making a honest video it helped me to escape limbo. 👍🏾😄

Thank you for your honest opinion, I was also debating between these chairs and looking further in it the autonomous ergo chair is definitely not worth it since I recently found out that they don't even make the chair they just rebrand it and sell it for a high mark up. Staples and Office Depot have a lot of chairs similar to the Ergo for cheaper, i just assumed the ergo was superior quality seeing all the (sponsored) reviews but I'm glad you showed this! My husband has a Titan and it is sooo nice, it is too tall for me because he has the tall version but it's built so well and assembly was so easy. Great video! Maybe I'll get a small Titan for myself!

I purchased the Autonomous Ergo Chair shortly before the COVID pandemic. Working a desk job, I needed a comfortable chair, and this one came highly recommended at the time. Over time, after using this chair for more than four years, I began experiencing lower back pain and found myself utterly exhausted at the end of the day, with no energy left for any physical activity. I didn't realize that the chair was the problem. I thought the issue was simply due to sitting for long periods, without suspecting that an "ergonomic chair" could be the cause, until I switched to the Secretlab chair about a month ago. Since then, I no longer have any back pain and I feel energetic even at the end of the day, something that hadn't happened in a long time. I absolutely do not recommend the Autonomous chair. While it looks nice, it makes a lot of noise (the plastic headrest creaks right behind your ears), the armrests move and don't stay in place, and not to mention the back pain it caused me without me realizing it all this time. The Secretlab chair may not be the most ergonomic, but I can work all day sitting down without back pain, and that alone makes it well worth the price.

An affiliate normally DOES NOT have direct contact with the company, In the vast majority of circumstances any regular person (maybe within a criteria) who gets a code and will take a portion of profits as a thank you for recommending the chair, they normally DO NOT tell you what to do or say. He likely put the affiliate code here as he personally recommends it, so it is logical to affiliate yourself with the product.

@@beney_11 could be that he knew he was going to recommend the chair and have it linked in the description so he made sure to get an affiliate link before uploading. So he didn’t get the link until after he liked the chair.

Check out the Uplift Pursuit! I’ve had it over a month now (coming from a Serta Jennings) and I love it. The ErgoChair 2 just has too many long-term issues from what I’ve seen, and the Pursuit is $300-320, so that was a plus. Only thing I recommend is getting some $18 Aloudy armrest covers from Amazon, as the armrests on the Pursuit are on the hard side and I like to lean quite a bit.

Very helpful. I had a 2018 Secret Lab Omega,(broke recently in 2021, used for double digit hours everyday, for 3 years straight almost) and wanted to know if Autonamous Ergochair 2 is even worth checking out. Because the Secret Lab was comfortable, amazing chair, that i literally would fall asleep in. Thanks to this review Ill stick to it,(Gonna grab the Titan because I like the flat chair base better so dust doesnt get trapped in the racer shaped Omega version) why fix something thats not broken? I feel like a lot of these Ergo chairs in general are overhyped, and dont do much for you that a regular chair doesnt aslong as you sit with proper posture.

Found this video after I pre ordered my Titan, I was stuck on these 2 chair choices too! Glad I went for the Titan and can't wait until it arrives now. Shall be interesting as I am coming from a chair worth almost 2-3 times the Titan but I am not getting on with it lol

Great video, I loved watching it tonight, specifically for my situation. I bought the Ergo 2 last may, because I also have a cheap “gaming chair” I got from Sams club. I actually didn’t hate it, the seat is firm (which I actually like) but the back didn’t have a good feel, its falling apart, and doesn’t have anything for lumbar. I was going to buy a Titan or Titan XL right after, but again like you, was afraid to go gaming chair again, because I didn’t think it was going to be much different. I saw a ton of videos and ended up with the ergo chair because it sounded like a great way to sit at my desk and game, but also do my productivity. Long story short, I hated it, I had more sciatica pain and my legs hurt from sitting in the chair. I had a NIGHTMARE of a time returning it to them, but finally did get my money back. So then I went COMPLETELY the other way, and bought a Herman Miller Aeron. It was STUPID expensive, but I thought I was making an investment into my health. I expected being that it was $1300 and everyone said it was God’s gift to chairs it had to be AMAZING. I was also very underwhelmed. I couldn’t believe it, how could the Aeron be bad? But it was. The back was fine, but the plastic in the seat (around the edges) felt odd, and it felt like it dug into my legs on occasion. It didn’t make my legs feel right, again, they would hurt after a time (something my crappy gaming chair never did). So, I returned the Aeron, and just sat and sat, trying to decide what to get next. I let 4-5 months go by, and thats where I am today. I have been using the old gaming chair, until I could finally decide. And I decided on a Titan XL (non Leather). Went with the cloth, black, like you have. I imagine I am going to love it, because I do like the firmness of my old gaming chair, but this will give me more room, and have better back support which is what I need. It looks like I am going to have to wait a while to get it, as they are backed up and only taking pre-orders but I am very excited to get it. I just found your video very satisfying because it feels like you and I had a very similar experience and path in our chair purchases. Mine just much longer, with a much more expensive chair bought in the chain of purchases. Lol. I have my fingers crossed that I am going to LOVE my Titan XL!

So recently I've been sitting in the old cheap gaming chair that I gave my in-laws years ago. We're traveling and staying with them for the last month and I've been working out of there spare room/office. I have to say that I really miss my titan now and can't wait to get back to it. Honestly after I made this video and used the titan for a while I started to have doubts about it and thought that maybe I should have gone with a Herman Miller (really like the embody) but I really like the feel of the titan and the price tag. Still thinking I might try to go sit in a HM somewhere just to see. It's crazy how many comments I get where people tell me that the ergo 2 is great and that I'm dumb for saying that a gaming/racing chair would be better. It's really just my desired comfort and budget that landed me on the titan and I'm just giving my opinion on how I felt about it. I will say that I still believe that the ergo 2 is cheaply made, overpriced and not as good as all these sponsored videos make it out to be. Hope you like the titan and would love to hear what you think about it after you get it.

@@DorianDevelops I said I would come back, and here I am. To put it short and sweet, the Titan XL is the best office chair I have ever used. I love it, my back loves it, and my legs and my butt love it. It doesn’t make my legs/butt go numb. It doesn’t hurt my back, I can’t praise it enough. Love it and I’m so happy.

I almost hit the button to supply my whole office in Ergo 2 but I will go ahead with Titan instead! Thank you😁

Edited; Since my comment earlier, I have decided to keep the Ergochair. Since I sat wrong on a comfy chair for so long, the Ergochair felt very uncomfortable for the first few days. A week went by and I could feel my back being straight while sitting for hours. Original Comment; Spot on! I purchased the ErgoChair 2 and I am returning in after 3 days of use. buying the Titan for sure!

@@xTWEAKMYSTERo , actually since I wrote that comment I've changed my mind and decided to keep the Ergochair. I am still getting used to the seat cushion being very firm, and can't find the right height for the arm rest while typing vs not. Yet, I can certainly feel how I sit on the chair vs my old one and my back seems to like it. I went with the Ewin Flash XL before and didn't like it a bit due to the side cushions on the seat having a metal frame on the inside.

Love my Titan sat in other Ergo Chairs @ different stores for hours. Staples, Ikea, OfficeMax, etc. Even upwards of $600 I prefer the Titan for me. Maybe it depends on your body, all I know is it's the real deal for me.

thanks man that exactly the question i had my only concern is that im not very tall and they recommend a certain height for the titan, yet the omega doesnt attract me much as im attracted by the built in lumbar support

I watched a video of a guy who bought the Titan because it looked like the chair he wanted (he liked the look and features). He couldn't even touch the ground and hated the chair. There is a reason they have you enter your height and weight on their website to determine the chair you should buy. I'd say you should enter that info and buy the chair they say will fit you right.

The Autonomous wins on ergonomics by a long shot. The titan will eventually mess with your back after you break it in

I've had my ergo chair for a few years now and coming from a really cheap walmart chair, I thought it was amazing. A few months ago, my girlfriend starting working from home and she ordered a $75 chair from amazon. She compared my chair with hers and liked my chair better so I let her use it since I wasn't working at home. I've gotta say, the chair she bought was just slightly less comfortable than my ergo and I was disappointed that I had spent so much and there wasn't too much of a difference. I think I went with the ergo chair because it wasn't a typical gamer chair, I didn't want the bucket seat look and everything. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade or not haha

i felt the same putting my racer chair together... "yeah this seems like quality metal alright this will be a great chair" 1 month later.. "yeah this was a great choice" a year later... its wobbly, the back doesnt lock in place anymore.. the cushion feels like i'm sitting on plywood topped with cardboard. and it doesnt nearly have the same amount of adjustments.. with tilt, slide, and all that.

Interesting review. I have had the "Gaming chair" for a while, there is no support, Just purchased the ErgoChair2, cause i didnt want to spend $1k on a Herman Miller. Still MIGHT get a herman miller or Human Scale brand. I appreciate your honest opinion and chair comparisons.

Hey man, I've tried to disassemble the Ergochair 2 according to their disassemble video because I am trying to return it. But I can't get the base off. It's just too tight. I got WD-40 into the gap and hit the base with a mallet just like their video. The base won't move even a bit. Do you mind tell me how did you disassemble the chair when you return it?

Thanks for the review. One big issue you left out though, is the health aspect over time, months/years of using a gaming chair vs. an ergonomic chair. I'm in my mid 30s. I've been using an expensive gaming chair with lumbar support for 3 years. I work 10-14 hours a day. I ended up with severe lower back pain, no matter how I adjusted the lumbar support. (I do exercise regularly). I now switched to a mesh ergonomic chair (Not from Autonomous), and while it is true, that the first impression of just sitting in it doesn't feel as comfortable as a fully padded gaming chair, the upside is that I no longer have any back pain. Bottom line is, comfort doesn't mean it's healthy. Just like a big fluffy bed where you sink in will always feel more comfortable at first, it's incredibly bad for the spine over time. In my 20s I wouldn't have cared about the health aspects of a chair. Now in my mid 30s it's absolute priority. There's no way I would ever choose a gaming chair again, even if it feels more comfortable due to the "padding". It's not worth the pain that slowly builds up over time. Apart from that, the gaming chair was always so comfortable I started to slouch and relax in a lazy way. On the ergonomic chair, I am automatically sitting up straight. This also leads to being much more productive through out the day.

The price difference is usually only reflected in extra features such as height adjustments, arm adjustments, with/without headrest, headrest adjustments, max weight capacity and overall build quality and brand name. The economic part on how the spine gets fitted in the chair is almost identical across all ergonomic mesh chairs and lumbar support is often built-in via "bump" or can be added via cushion. Look for a chair that meets your feature needs. Other than that they're the same. Hope this helps.

I literally just got the same Titan chair today and cant even assemble it because one of the holes on the back rest doesn't align with the base... Now I'm over here having to wait 2 days for a response because secret lab doesn't take phone calls. :( Sooo so far a bad experience like a need a chair...

Just get the ergo chair

I had a titan for a few weeks and it was 4x the cost of my OfficeMax chair beforehand and it was the most uncomfortable chair I’ve sat in. It’s stiff, awful at spine support and made me feel like I’m sweating more often than usual with the cloth backing. I have since used the ergo chair, which is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, though this chair held up much better for extended periods of time. The Titan, however, was immediately uncomfortable and never got comfortable after 2 weeks

@@purvy7240 I had to return mine as well, I didn't know that the seat would be so stiff. Only used it for a week and my back and butt were in pain when I'd stop sitting on it. I might get a chair with more butt support than Ergo 2, but I think I'm done with "gaming" chairs.

Ergonomic chairs aren't "comfortable" in the way gamers are used to thinking of comfort but you notice the difference when you get up 5 hours later and your spine is fucked. One thing I keep seeing is chairs where you can't properly lean your butt all the way back so you're forced to lean on your lower back, does the SL do that?

that's one of the things with the lumbar pillow. It's not attached so you can adjust it however you want, but if you get too lazy, can easily end up slouched. As long as you sit up it will stay in place though. Very satisfied with my 2018 Omega Softweave :p

The omega has a lumbar pillow. The titan has an integrated lumbar support bar (inside the chair) that is adjustable with a knob. I can get my but back. The only issue I have with the Titan is that its a bit wider than I need...but I needed the height of the Titan.

Yes, it does. It's super adjustable, you just have to set it straight and use the pillows (or the lumbar support on the Titan). I've been working from home for one year and a half, and bought a SL Omega a year ago because my back was killing me, and wanted to have a chair both ergonomic at job, and confortable when I'm not working... the back pain disappeared in one week. After one year using it 8-10 hours per day for one year, I'm telling you this is perfect if you are looking for that combo.

Glad to see you didnt have to return the Titan since your affiliated with Secret labs.....would be weird to return a product from your bro!

Is the Omega from Secret Lab much different than the Titan?

I see now the omega has side flaps and the titan does not. Definitely gonna have to get the titan, I like to side indian style or with one foot under my butt quite often.

Returning mine and getting Titan. Ergo 2 feels like a 200.00 chair.

Fellow secret lab Titan soft weave owner here. It is amazing. Worth 450? I’m not an expert In Chairs since the one that the Titan replaced for me was a Walmart one that served me for 6 years and was absolutely blown out. But my gosh. I don’t even want to sleep in bed anymore. I just want to recline in my Titan (not serious, but close)

The Ergochair seems to be an OEM chair made in China. I have seen the exact same chair selling in my country for about USD300 , but with different brand name slap on it

I have the Ergo 2 and it has been just fine for me. 5'9" 150lbs

I have the Ergo, and my butt is killing me after an hour or two.... would NOT recommend the Ergo unless you can somehow pad the seat area more.

Received the Autonomous, overall seems good but the cushion is far too soft and you immediately feel the hard plastic base underneath making very uncomfortable to seat. Impossible to stay long seaten. I complained, they sent me a new cushion, which was exactly the same. I negotiated they repaid me 10pct but then I decided to return it as it was really not comfortable and they declined saying I was out of the trial period. I would not recommend it or in case you aren't satisfied return it immediately as even if you complain the trial period is running despite a complain was filed. Not really pro.

@awesomeguyat77 That's a good point but if I was directly being paid by autonomous for a sponsored video (like most videos on the ergo 2) would you think that I would say how I honestly felt about the ergo 2. You don't see an autonomous affiliate link in my video because I will not endorse a chair that I didn't like. I linked the secretlab chair because I honestly liked it and kept it after buying and testing out both. If I was trying to really just make money off the chairs I would have made a video saying how they're both great chairs and put affiliate links for both if that was the case.

I made the mistake buying the ergo chair 2 because I watched sponsored videos thinking they were legit. Thanks for posting this.. I'm out $400 lol. I'm going to order a secretlab and probably pitch the ergochair 2

Secretlab chairs and noblechairs (only the hero) are the only gaming chairs that care about ergonomics that strike a nice balance between ergos and aesthtics. All the other dxracer, gt omega and those companies have shit chairs for ergonomics and comfort. I do want to try a office ergo chair like from herman miller but those dont even have 4d adjustable arm rest that secretlab and noblechairs have which is really dissapointing considering the price. So I only have the titan and hero as my options becuase those companies actuallly have pay so much attention to detail and versatilty its insane. Great review I think you captured what is really special about the titan which is its amazing detail and quality.

Thank you so much for your review. I have had an Ergo Chair 2 for several months now and absolutely hate it. It was a big mistake buying that chair. No matter what I tried, I could not get comfortable in it. When I sit, I go straight to the plastic seat. The foam sucks!! I posted an honest review on their web site, It never made it to the page. I too saw all of the glowing reviews and the people backing the product. Mine even had a manufacturing defect. Being a DIY kinda guy, I was able to make it work. Now, the good news. I was looking to replace it and could not pull the trigger on the Secret Labs Titan. I kept thinking I could get my self in the same situation at even more money. I saw your review realizing you were going through exactly what I was. I watched it last night and ordered the Titan this morning. Thank you so much for your honesty and taking the time to provide such detail about the two products. Now, I can't wait for it to arrive as I am using a 5 year old Tempur-Pedic chair that has a leaky gas cartridge. Even that is better than the Ergo 2. What does that tell you? To be honest, your You Tube channel is the only one I have ever subscribed to other than Snake Discovery. Thanks again!!

@@Alex-mn8yl Night and day. In my honest opinion, the aero Chair 2 is a piece of junk. It has a lot of features, but they completely missed it concerning seat comfort. I had a major manufacturing defect in the mechanical assembly. The posts, on which it mounts would not accept the bolts. They made the screw mounts too deep. I had the shave about a quarter inch off the top of two of the posts to actually mount the assembly. Other than the seat comfort, the whole chair feels like it won’t last. I wrote a review, describing the discomfort and referencing an old Tempur Pedic chair I had and also explained the manufacturing defect. They pulled the review. It never posted. The Titan was mere perfection as far as the manufacturing and assembly. It is much more comfortable than the Ergo, but just a bit hard. Nothing a cushion can’t fix until broken in. Cushions didn’t even help the Ergo.

This video was sooo biased. My dude skipped the 10 features that make the Ergo Chair a great chair. The Ergo is also uncomfortable at first because it forces you to correct your posture. After a while (more than a week) it will feel more comfortable. Gaming chairs are terrible for your back! I will say that there are a few things that I wish Autonomous would fix on their 3rd version, and that the Titan looks great. But skipping all the seat adjustments on the Ergo is doing everyone a disservice. PS. If you're going to spend $500 on a chair, just go buy a barely used Herman Miller or Steelcase and you'll be better off!

@@buruzn09I think it is though. Better resale value and they will last much longer than the Titan. That alone for the same/close price is worth it. Add the fact they are much more adjustable and I think it's a better option. I think that Titan is way more expensive than it should be. Also, every Gaming/racing chair company that are making them said that they know this trend won't last, so they're pushing them as much as they can. I got that from Gamer's Nexus I believe.
