So imagine a small child’s smiling face as he looks to his parents who begin to explain that the lovely fluffy teddy bear with the big beautiful eyes and cute nose is actually stuffed with toxic stuffing and made in a factory using child labour. The child’s smile then turns first to puzzlement and then to a sad pout. I have been researching new chairs and I had my eye on this one. Ive checked that other guys vid on the three faults and also re-checked the website. On the time of this comment they have 2072 reviews with an average of 4.6 out of 5 stars. And yes, amazingly not one, one star review is listed. A lot of KZreadrs use the term ‘Honest’ in their titles however you have to wonder about a minority of them especially given their relationship to the products manufacturer. IMO you’ve given a wholly honest review backed up with good reasoning and explanations. Thanks for sharing Tech I, Oh, can you recommend any other ergonomic chairs please 😊

@@brimstone5931 Sadly, a lot of those same 'honest' YT'ers... are the very ones who aren't properly or fully (some, not at all) disclosing as required... those 'connections' you mention. Any connection to, bias or gain of ANY kind, has to be disclosed in a certain way to protect the consumers who (in #) they should be most appreciative for, transparent with & for whom, without..... those opportunities wouldn't even exist. Anything not 100% paid for out of pocket & having nothing to gain by presenting, promoting or reviewing... has to be made crystal clear to any viewer. That way, we can decide before listening... what weight or bias to place upon the opinions being given. We can be made fully aware of any potential gain, prior to having already clicked away, to purchase. etc, etc. Wish it weren't true that the majority don't fully disclose what they should.... many, because they can & in some instances, will even be paid more to seem 'genuine' & more 'organic' content. smh right?? I'd watch a million 'sponsored' videos or paid promotions of something, noooooo problem whatsoever & willingly... before I want to watch one where I'm being lied to, misled & deceived, for personal gain. Esp considering the viewers/consumers (as mentioned) are the reason any of those opportunities to even get those paid promotions... exist OR... continue to. YT, Google & the FTC/CAP, etc. need to do a MUCH better job imho w/ follow through, holding people accountable & handing out actual, tangible consequences (as their guidelines suggest would happen 'if') It's a joke to the point... why bother even having the rules if you aren't going to do anything about it. They claim protecting consumers (& protects the ones reviewing too, actually) is of utmost importance, blahh blahh.... The past 3 yrs or so, really digging into & looking at a LOT of my fav channels in many genres, I've subscribed to & enjoyed over the past decade.... we'll just say "mind... blowing". The number actually doing what they should, when, where, how.... in the single digits... IF THAT. So disgusted I unsubscribed from most of 'em. Soooo..... unfortunately, most reviews, should be taken w/ grain of salt & without giving benefit of doubt (unfortunately) Wish it were different, but... $$$ talks ... as do freebies & commissions.... even if, at OUR expense. Which, I can never be ok with... goes against integrity big time, imho. ~ Stay safe & be well.

No. The tin foil hat accessory is mostly associated with out of shape couch potato look-alikes. He is not that.
This chair was fairly easy to put together, the instructions were clear and I was about to follow along with no issues at all. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. kzread.infoUgkx5hPALGI87E991DRmXev8PUFJGrrRcONS I did stuff the back of the chair with a pillow so it wouldn’t be so hollow after taking all the pieces out but that’s just a personal preference. I also added a pillow for lumbar support because although this is a great chair and is comfortable, it’s not necessarily the best if you’re sitting 10+ hrs a day wfh but in all honesty for the price, I didn’t mind at all. It looks great in my space and easily adjusts the height when needed.

Super appreciate your approach to reviewing this! Seems there's just a whole mess of brands these days marketing products with a "trendy" and cutting-edge design that's really just a thinly veiled cover for shady business practice and poor quality control. The telltale sign is usually the barrage of targeted ads you get immediately after visiting the website- hounding you to make a quick decision before you find an honest review like this one. Again, many thanks!
As a US citizen that is thoroughly fed up with all these corporate con artists, I want to say thank you. I was looking at the Autonomous store page quite a bit and was heavily considering purchasing from them. Not now. Take my like and subscribe.

Thanks for the honest review. I bought the desk - frame only. It’s now on its way to the UK. I’ve seen other reviews on the XL top being very wobbly. My plan is to have a top with no more than 140cm. About the chair.... your comments left me undecided. Would love to be able to buy a hummer miller but that is out of my budget. Anyway, thanks a lot for your insightful consumer contribution.
Very useful, I appreciate the two parts of looking at the chair and then the company itself. I was also considering buying the smart desk / chair combo and after seeing this video here and others, I am less inclined to do so now... cheers mate!

I bought the chair back in October, and it took me a long time to get used to the seat cushion. Had you posted your review earlier I might have looked somewhere else. Thanx man for your contribution.
Pretty good review of the chair itself as I'm still looking for one to fit my criteria. I've gone through 5 desk/gaming chairs in the last 2 years at great expense due to mechanical failures. From the piston losing pressure and sinking to the tilt mechanisms failing after only two to three months of use. I'm 6'2" and 320 pounds and have yet to find a decent chair over the last 2 years that actually stands up to everyday use. As far as re-branding is concerned, a lot of companies do it, especially tool companies. From power tools to hand tools that are made in China, many companies use the same manufacturer/factory with their own labels on them. It's pretty rampant across the board from furniture to tools to kitchen appliances etc... Thanks again for the review and I'll keep this chair in mind when I narrow it down to a few. Cheers!

Have you had any luck finding a decent chair? I'm in the same boat. I'm 6' 1" and 330 lbs. I have a couple chairs that are built like tanks (zero failures) but are quite uncomfortable. I've added foam and a memory foam pillow on top to make my current chair comfortable enough to sit for a couple hours. I haven't bought one or sat in one but I've heard good thing about the "HON Wave Mesh Big and Tall Executive Chair" for large individuals. There is a quite a few glowing review by big and tall individuals.
Thanks so much. Prefect review. What do you guys recommend for affordable office chair overall.

Literally every gaming chair comes from the same manufacturer. That's how manufacturing works. However, the quality of components are chosen from the client, they are not the same chairs materially.. only in design.

That's a useful trick I may try this! Thanks!
good review, and yeah, the "rebranding" practice is definitely quite standard in any industry. Of course now, with the internet, and some research, we get to find it more often, than in early days... but I still remember when I bought a DVD player / HDD Recorder in 2005-06?, that I paid for it $130 USD. in Alibaba... and about half a year later, the same product was on every store rebranded as SONY and at a premium price (4 times what I paid for it). I did contact Sony, and they told me that while they have "the patent" for the model, their manufacturer has some sort of rights of selling them also (but in other markets). So technically, I buying it from the "Chinese manufacturer" is an exception. Also, they told me that they offer a warranty, and whatnot, that I might not have with my device as the Alibaba store (the manufacturer itself), wouldn't offer me. Oh well... I did enjoy a great device for a quarter of it's price :)
Great review! Thanks for calling that shady shit out too!
