One major difference between STAB and Scream was Casey was in no position to *actually* scream once Ghostface stabbed her. After she knocked the knife from him, he crushed her neck with his hands. If the real Casey could shriek like MOVIE Casey did, while being stabbed 5 times in a tree no less, her parents would have found her out back.

Casey's scenes in STAB are very good, but of course there are many differences, for example in Stab after receiving the first stab in the chest, Casey only has a small blood stain and no a strong hemorrhage like Casey in Scream, another detail is that it would have been good if they included Steve and Casey's parents in STAB but since those shots were of rapid duration in Scream 2 that's why I think they didn't show them and I would have liked to see Casey from Stab hanging from the tree like the original but they only showed him repeatedly stabbing her up the tree, a reference to where he left her hanging and disembowelled in the original. Sidney and Billy's scenes are really quite boring, they don't process any emotions and they look very dull and boring. You should edit re-upload the video including the comparisons to Randy's scenes from Stu's house party that are already included in Scream 5.

i like how scream actively criticized the horror trope where the female suffering gets sexualized or dramaticized for entertainment and then it was used in "stab" to further criticize/make fun of it. the contrast between the movie and the movie within it is so clear most especially during casey's sequence. sadly, the trope is still very much present until today and outside the scream universe. you can always trust hollywood to find a way to insensitively reduce real-life tragedies into something that gratifies the audience and is almost always male-gazey.

Success: "Scream 2" was also a commercial success, although it received slightly less critical acclaim than the original film
