They know the type of people they have. They yell and threaten, make them feel guilty, and it makes the poor people "get in line" and try harder. Same with the "romance" scammers. They're big on guilt trips because they tend to work on the kind of people who get sucked in. This guy is taking the scammers places they've never seen before! The thing is, with real ransomware, restarting wouldn’t help at all. Your files will still be encrypted after. In fact, it can make things worse by clearing the encryption keys which may be stored in RAM.

@@k12moyo no we don’t get trained specifically to question the guest about a gift card purchase. The only time we ask or are allowed to ask is if it seems weird or they’re acting weird or nervous. Plus people aren’t allowed to buy over $500 worth of gift cards in the same day. And most people who try to buy more are being scammed

As a person who expresses emotions, I can say that this display of smiling while sounding old-and-panicked is very impressive.

Man, I work with elderly clients every shift; for people to take advantage of them like is the lowest of the low. My favourite lady is so excited when I call her to tell her the schedule of her carer, just so she can chat with someone for a bit. And to think people have no shame about blatant thievery from people excited to hear the phone ring. You're doing some excellent work.

There are a ton of scammers that are willing to send others to the poor house. There's a great video of scammers literally stating on video that they'd rather have your last thousand dollars vs that person buying gifts for their family during the holidays. It's extremely pathetic and horrible that the scammers aren't in jail.

Kit, you should definitely use this character more. It’s one of your most believable characters imo, as far as the voice, mannerisms, and vernacular you use. Incredible voice acting, my man! It’s been said a million times, but it must be said again: you’re the best in the business at this!

When you say youve been saying for 40 minutes you will return the money, you hear a different scammer in the background says "....kitboga...." They were onto you but could not stop, unless they are using you as part of the scam to others

I'm from firewall security department! I'm always shocked how they think screaming at them is the best method. But maybe it does work at senile people, idk. Everything about these scams and scammers is just so odd it's difficult for me to figure out how they succeed to get any money. I'm just endlessly frustrated by how idiotic they and their scams are, but somehow they sound arrogant like they were clever people and don't deserve their time to be wasted. Like he keeps screaming "you don't make any sense" but the fake "difficult" grandma is the only part in this call making sense. As someone who was just scammed a good chunk of change, thank you for what you. It makes me feel better.

What cracks me up is when the scammers yell so loud their mic distorts, hahaha!

My old Dad, at 85 years old and suffering from Parkinsons disease was conned out of his £4500 pension savings in a telephone scam when the "Court Bailiffs" became aggressive and threatened to pay a visit and remove his property. Bless you for doing this and saving other elderly people from the fear and misery these low lifes bring. If you are ever in London, I'd gladly buy you a pint and shake your hand, mate. Thankyou.

The world is cruel, these "low lifes" are also probably to stay alive, i hope that humanity will be able to progress together. Btw, i'm so sorry that your dad passed away.

I love the distress that you cause to these SOBs.

My question is if anyone actually falls for these scammers... if someone demands me to go to CVS and buy gift cards for them, I would tell them: "Go to hell!"

As someone who has worked in a real tech support center, its staggering how good your old lady behaviors are. Especially the moments where they have decided they know what will fix the problem despite multiple instructions not to do that. Its really refreshing to see that horrid behavior as a force of good.

This was hysterical! I will never call customer service again! I had no idea that scammers had all this going on. The dead give away is them getting rude and really emotional. No real service rep would speak to a person with this demanding shouting voice in conversation. Geese......this was a great example of scammers are. Thank you!

This is nothing less than GREAT! Loved hearing the scammer have a meltdown when he could NOT receive the funds he expected to get from this ' elderly woman ' after taking several hours to defraud from ' her '. He got heartburn, a meltdown and nothing. Finally got what he deserved - a total waste of HIS valuable fraudulent time. Thank you soooooo much for this!!

Literally LMAO. You are gold. The way you are playing dull, stalling them and getting on their nerves is great. As someone "who knows computers" (I'm a programmer though) I did tech support for extended family and friends for years, and I'd like to turn that around on some not-so-innocent victims!

One time a scammer would call my grandpa every day and would literally bully and scream at him. My grandpa always answered so he could yell back at him 😂 it was like a daily thing for awhile

The issue here is these illegal call centers pay lots of bribes to the local police and gov't officials. Also when they go to court they will pay huge sums to the judges, make sure to follow up on all the cases !! And publicize as much as you can include the higher up officials so they are held accountable !!

This was my uncle with the Nigerian scam. He'd ask them if they were another one of those scammers, they'd say "no", and he'd accept that and do the same thing all over again...

@@DKF_oli wdym, they worked very hard to lie and cheat you out of your money. They work so many hours, they deserve to have your money. /sarc I "accidently" made a lady scammer cry, women don't tend to hang up as soon as the men do. Asking "if her parents are proud" really seemed to hit her hard.

My favorite is when you redeem the cards and you hear the whole call center freaking. I'll say it again, you're a hero baby.

Whenever my dad would get a scam call he would run to me, mute his phone and say "when a person starts talking, just scream as loud as you can" and one time we both started screaming bloody murder and we heard the headset hit the floor. We could not stop laughing

I love the videos where you're more confrontational and aggressive to these scammers. In many of your more recent videos you're very passive and allow the scammers to walk all over you, which still ends up making them very angry but it's just not as fun as ones like these.

At around 20:50, He was saying in hindi : "She is not listening to me. Saying she doesn't have any time left. She has to do it" It was gold 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My grandma almost fell for one of these when dementia was starting. Bank let her take 4500 no questions asked. She brought the money to a money mart and the cashier there got her to call my parents. Saved the money. You are doing God's work!

It's terrible that people are taken advantage of like that. At least someone was on the ball. Ironically I wouldn't be shocked if most businesses stop their employees from getting involved. We were lucky with my grandparents, in the UK the government has a free service where you can register a loved one/legal guardian as having control of your finances if you end up in a vulnerable position (such as having dementia or other illnesses). Kept them in their own home and safe from scams. I don't think God has much to do with it. Plenty of the scammers seem to believe in God and they are living the high life on other people's money 😡.

my grandfather fell for a phone scam and gave away his credit card number a couple months after he was diagnosed with dementia. most of these scammers have no remorse and look down on 'rich' westerners in order to justify it in their heads, plus they mainly target old people since they're less knowledgeable about technology and have a higher chance of mental illnesses like dementia/alzheimers that can easily be exploited.

"I filmed everyone of my grandchild's births!" - Give this man an Oscar for that performance.

I'd love to see you do two characters, the grandma and her well-meaning grandson. The grandma typically has no idea how a computer works and the grandson constantly interjects into the call to offer completely incorrect advice (stuff that a scammer would even think is ridiculous). Make sure there are tons of adware and malware on the desktop and browser, too!

What you're describing sounds like this video he made with edna and her grandaughter kiki. It's titled "Angry Refund Scammer Can't Keep His Cool". Kiki kept "misunderstanding" the scammer, not following instructions and just being generally counter-productive to the scam and Edna kept praising her and telling the scammer to compliment Kiki for being so smart.
