Don't answer any unknown numbers! Let them go to voicemail. Anyone legit will leave a message. There are scams just trying to get you to pick up to see if your line is active. Then they sell that number to call centers. Some try to get you to say yes or hello but just picking up can be a success to them.

I was reading an article about a call center that was raided by the New Delhi Police and in one of the audio recordings they listened to, an elderly woman had a heart attack. These people are instructed to use intimidating tactics in order to scare their victims into doing what they're told. It's so gross. Another story I read involved 2 teenagers who got wrapped up into scamming and they asked their boss what to do about an old woman who was crying and if they scammed her, she would lose her entire life savings, and their boss told him to push harder and be more aggressive. The teens decided to call the FBI after that and together, they took down the call center.

I like this guy. If you try to argue with him or lambast him, they'll just cuss you out and hang up. But this guy, he baits them in and tortures them. It's a fine line he walks, but its worth it.

When the scammer kept yelling, "Are you mad?!" I hoped Kit would answer, "No, but it sounds like you are!!" or "Not yet, but you're driving me there!!" I laugh so hard at all their frustration with Kit, but also pray they never call and verbally abuse my elderly dad. He's fallen for a couple scams, so I've told him to call me if someone tries to get money from him again. I see I need to tell him about the gift card scams. Thank you Kit, for educating us!

I'm a 68 year old divorced and retired woman, so I'm a primo target for these guys. I got a call from someone doing the Amazon scam. They asked my name. I asked them what name they had on file. The guy said he had to make sure they had the right person. I said, “You called ME! Don't you know who you called?” This went on until they gave up. Next time I'll give them a fake name.

Tell him your name is Kit Boga. He is a legend in the call centers. They will probably hang up immediately.

I work in a grocery store that sells gift cards from many different stores. When i see elderly shopping for gift cards, i make it a point to be nosey and ask what they are buying the cards for. I caught 5 scammers. Once a woman was on her phone at the gift card display and overheard her saying "i don't want you to lose your job", I interrupted and asked to speak to them on the phone. I issued a VERY graphic explanation that the call was being traced and don't call again! I explained what was happening to the lady. She had NO idea.

One of my favourite things about these is that there are LOTS of clues that the scammers are getting taken for a ride(like the blatantly fake bank pages), and if they miss all those red flags, they absolutely deserve to have all their time wasted.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing like how do they not recognise all the signs of a professional scambaiter who publishes all his techniques on KZread ? Do they not even watch his videos so they learn to recognise the signs like innocent sounding old lady who gets everything wrong tries to redeem gift cards etc ? I've watched live streams on other scambaiting channels where they think they are talking to Kitboga but he sounds nothing like Kit and has very different tactics but on Kitbogas own videos no one suspects and they always fall for it ! You'd think that they'd learn by now !

the air duct scam calls around me have been scary! someone in my city reported on our neighborhood group thing on facebook that she had scheduled a cleaning from a call she got from a duct cleaning company because she figured ‘why not’ since she hadn’t had that done in a while, and they figured out when nobody would be home because she said she lives with her 3 kids & said she would be working every week day. they came inside and robbed her when she wasn’t home & she came back to everything gone the day after the appointment. she said she had realized they were snooping around, whispering, and kept asking questions about how expensive certain items were in her home. she was robbed out of over $10,000 worth of stuff, like her tv’s, expensive jewelry & clothes, kids toys, etc! it was so bad. please STAY SAFE! people are nuts these days.

They call her stupid, but they sit there and let someone BS them for 9 hours. They should've figured out after the first hour, it's not gonna happen. I had a scammer call me once and I gave him all the info he wanted (my name, social security number, bank accounts, how much property I owned, how many credit cards I had, and the limit on each one 😂), then I acted like the phone disconnected and hung up. He called me back 5 times, and of course, I didn't answer. It's crazy how whenever they think they are about to get paid, they become relentless.

I love how Kit highlights just what lowlifes these guys are. No matter how distressed he pretends to become, crying and saying that he has no family, that he's ill or has little money, these scammers are ruthless, vile and callous and don't care how desperate the person they're scamming are. Show no mercy Kit.

I absolutely loathe these d&mned scammers!!! They are absolutely HORRIBLE wastes of space and life. I get so triggered when they try to manipulate elderly people… I’m a RN for a long term care/skilled nursing facility and I hate the idea that these horrible wastes of skin would try to scam my elderly residents.

Oh it's so great when you spend the time to truly fuck with these scum. The whole "I will lose my job for giving you back too much money," scam is best when you tell them no. Like, they want to guilt you into sending money because they made a mistake, so when it got to that point for me I just told them tough shit, I'm going to buy some spinning rims for my ride. They actually were trying to call me back over their BS caller ID lines, first pleading, then threatening, and of course they finally quit when I just said I knew they were bullshit and had fun toying with them for 37 minutes.

It’s amazing how the Amazon scammer was saying the other (pretend) scammer was a bad man, just so he can scam you instead. How does he sleep at night calling others bad people.

Yes, it's the only thing I wish Kit wouldn't do. I always fast forward through those parts and if granny is still upset later, I move on to another kitvid. There is a scambaiter who is an older woman. Sometimes it's too difficult for me to listen how vulnerable she sounds while scambaiting and how devious and nasty the scammers treat her. I'm way behind in her videos for that reason. It's always comforting when she speak in her normal strong voice.

@@xxskizzumxx don’t forget twitch, he livestreams for 5 hours every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday, if he catches a phone number in the background he puts the livestream on BRB and makes sure they know it’s a scam. Kit is an Angel for doing what he does. He keeps them busy, while keeping others he can safe. I watch these over and over because he deserves the revenue

@@PosthumanHeresy I should have been more clear about what I meant. I would say 98% of scammers beg him to stop crying in a very cold, demeaning and demanding way. Sometimes they even yell at Kit to stop crying. There is no empathy, no compassion and often there is anger in their voice when they order him to stop crying. For experienced scammers, I get it. They don’t care, they have lost the ability to see the people they speak with on the phone as humans and only want the money or the gift cards. However, he has had scammers that were clearly new at this and they still react to Kit crying in the same way. Even the few women scammers he has encountered react just as coldly. Regardless if Kit plays a woman or a man, the reaction is basically the same. I just find their reaction to someone crying interesting. I don’t know if there is a cultural component to that. It could be a gender thing too, like you mentioned. I hadn’t thought about that and that’s a good point. Kit does tend to play his older woman persona more than his other characters and he mostly interacts with male scammers. I’m an adult female and just as an example, when I cry and in front of my dad he immediately wants to figure out how to fix the problem. I have a lot of medical issues and sometimes I just break down because it’s hard. There is nothing to fix. Yet he tries so hard to figure out something he can do. I think that’s how most men are. Sorry for the long response. I’m just trying to wrap my mind around how a human can be so harsh and cold when dealing with someone they perceive as an elderly person having a breakdown. It boggles my mind so I’m trying to understand it.

@@galacticunicorn6319 more than likely it’s a cultural thing. I’m from Jamaica. Personally, even as a woman, when people cry I’m just can’t empathise with them due to just how I grew up. My father and my mother are the same way. They don’t know how to react to people crying. I always just stand there with a blank stare if someone cries in front of me. I also, personally hate PDA (that includes hugging and holding hands).
