So if anyone really needs money they will send you mail or set up a meeting in person. It just makes it easier than trying to explain a lot of these scams. I told my grand parents years ago to call me if their computer ever had any real issues.

I like to get to the part where they say "Now check your bank account, to make sure the transaction occurred." and then just tell them "Oh, no I do all my online banking on my phone. I'll check it right now." They always freak out...

The “home skillet” got me. I’m 52 and I remember saying that in the 80s. You definitely did your homework on old lingo.

“We can’t figure out how to process your refund, so we need you to go out and buy us $1,000 in gift cards instead.” Oh, ok. Makes perfect sense 😂

Kitboga has a pure heart as he sometimes voices he's upset with himself for saying certain things. I'm in law enforcement and took a case where some lady, recently widowed bought 35,000 in target gift cards and gave the numbers to the scammer. She lost 35k to these vermin scammers. When Kitboga wastes the time of a scammer he's saving someone from losing everything. God bless Kitboga.

The biggest issue with the fake popup like this, is when the scammers tell Kit to reboot his pc, he needs to make it so the popup shows up again and doesn't 'disappear'.

Scammer was just so detailed and informative. “In order to get refund and provide refund money, so like, in order to rectify these errors we have to go ahead…and you know…….rso that’s why we need to rectifcate the errors.” Also, “you have to get those cards……or else!” He was probably getting thumbs up and thought he was such a smart boy when he went off script. I can almost bet he felt like “oh yeah, got him now, I explained it so very well, he has to comply after this no questions asked.” Lol The acting. Wow, we need to rectificate this error and send this man an Oscar, Emmy and golden globe.

Hearing the scammers go ballistic is hilarious when they do it to baiters, but super scary for the victims that they do it to.

Not everyone has the same education or social understanding. People with mental health problems are often the easiest to target. This includes people who have early onset Alzheimer's. I've looked after people who function quite well but are very suggestible. Almost like how a young child is. Taking advantage of this is how this happens.

You should call the amazon refund scammers and when they say that ‘’someone ordered something expensive was it you?’’ You should say that you ordered it and don’t want the refund.

Tbh I don't think that's a good idea. Scammers might be recording your conversation and anything you said to them might be used out of context for a fraud elsewhere.

On stream he talked about the legality of paying scammers. His lawyer said explicitly to never knowingly give them money in Kitbogas case because it can somehow be used against him

@@malamu1357 Probably something to do with fraud or conspiracy charges. If real money transfers hands in an illegal way, it doesn't matter the context, the law has been broken and Kitboga could be charged with that offense.

So awesome to actually take away over 3 and a half hours of time wasted so they can't try to scam someone else. Great job!

You would think that they would have more patience as they are often trying to scam old people

I think this preys on the psychological phenomenon that many people are too scared to embarrass themselves in front of an "expert", and thus they are too scared to doubt what the "expert" is saying and to say something against it. In many cases even if the person is 99.9% sure that it cannot possibly be right, their fear of personal embarrassment and humiliation in front of an "expert" is too strong and overrides these doubts. This is, of course, irrational thinking, but that's just how the human psyche works in many cases.

Yeah, typically a real company will inform you that you'll receive your refund in 3-5 business days. They have no reason to see your bank.

not much they can do about it haha, but they will usually call back to harass and threaten people with calling the police or removing all the money from the bank account, ect.
