I came across one of these sawmills yesterday for sale near me in central Mo. Edminston Sawmill $25,000 Listed 2 days ago in Prairie Home, MO. Way Out of my price range and way too many moving parts for me to keep track of. My high school auto tech class just finished a chainsaw, procut style, mill for me. The second cut on the mill by one of my students on a cedar log, we hit a big wood screw buried in the log. Keep on Booming!

I can only imagine how nice a deck would be if the decking was 2X10 hardwood......:-) As for hitting nails, surely that could do a lot more to the blade than breaking carbide teeth. I sharpened carbide tipped saw blades for a couple of years at a local furniture company, and blades were destroyed when they contacted metal.

I had a friend once that picked up a “ pointed butt slab “ about 6 feet long . He let it air dry in his shop , turning it over when it started to curl , and he kept flipping it over until it dried being flat . He made a custom ironing board for it for his wife . He put hinges on the but and screwed it on the wall to fold up when not in use . On the pointed end, he hinged a 2 X 2 leg on it long enough to make it level when folded down . Have you ever thought of saving the butt pieces to sell for ironing board blacks ?

Hello Romania.
Thanks for showing how to change out the teeth! I don’t care what you or I call them, you know the cutting surface! I have a 56 “ blade and it looks like yours but haven’t changed any before! Thanks for your video on them!
Great video Mark and Eddie and ZZ Mark. Hope everyone's keeping well. Great to see a long video. Take care.

Mark that was a good video thanks

Hey Mark. Great sawing video. So glad that the nails did not do major damage to the teeth and to the saw blade. It is odd that the metal detector did not pick up the nails when you checked it. Is there a way to adjust the detector settings so that it pick up deeper objects? Anyway, nice looking oak planks!
