Those normal bozos that managed to cut Sauron's fingers off were actually a race of super-humans that are all like 9+ feet tall and mega strong, iirc. Aragorn in both the movies and the books is like 80+ years old, he's still able to keep pace with Legolas, and he's actually smaller and weaker than those guys that squared up with Sauron bagden. They're basically like the Vrykul, if the Vrykul could solo whole garrisons of Alliance and Horde forces.

They also note that in the books Sauron had just finished wiping the floor with Gil Galad and Elendil, the King of the Elves and the King of Numenor respectively. Those two were probably the greatest warriors in Middle Earth at the time (not counting any Maiar like Gandalf). So he was understandably very cocky when he was about to finish off Isildur. He had *just* murdered Elendil, one of the strongest warriors in the world and Isildur's father to boot, so he let down his guard before he could finish the job.

⁠​⁠@@jossgoyanko7006almost. In the books the fight killed him along with Gil-Galad and Elendil, or at the very least incapacitated him, which allowed Isildur to cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand, before his spirit could take the ring with him (like he did when his body was destroyed in Numenor)

They said in the analysis Sauron can cause Mt. Doom to errupt.

Sauron and the Lich King are nothing compared to the power of the Mud Hut Clan.

Saruman was never "working for" Sauron he would have eventually turned-on Saruman, he really wanted to take Sauron's place as ruler of middle earth.

The characters with the largest fan base always win in Death Battle videos. The fate of the battles are decided based on what will bring in more views and likes. All the numbers crunching is just to make people think they "worked out the math" and did research. This being said, I liked the animations, I'll give them that.

@@smokinbonez420 So what? Sauron can also corrupt and enslave the Lich King’s minions. Sauron and Lich King can both corrupt and enslave each other’s minions, but in the end, it doesn’t matter how much they corrupt each other’s armies or send enemies after each other. Think about it: none of their minions can actually destroy either of them, because they’re both practically inexhaustible and they both have immortalities that require very specific conditions to be nullified. Sauron’s minions can’t kill the Lich King, and in turn, the Lich King’s minions can’t kill Sauron either. Only the leaders of either faction can destroy each other. And as Death Battle showed, Sauron has too many advantages over the Lich King, so Sauron wins. Plain and simple.

Not true. As Death Battle said, Sauron has far more power and combat experience, and his abilities counter most of Lich King’s own abilities.

@@eon1014 Sauron’s power is a fraction compared to his mentor. His time was cool but definitely underwhelming if you look at his reign vs melkores. All I’m saying is lore wise I think he would be a better candidate considering lich king can have similar powers. Sauron wasn’t making dragons and creating races and we only seen that in his age when Saruman which is an entity like melkore made the hybrid orcs

The lich king has hundreds of thousands of undead at his will, no way you can tell me Sauron beats him as a fan of both
