With all due respect to the research and writing team for this episode, Sauron casually causing that volcano to explode as if it was a normal punch told me more about his character than the analysis ever could.

@@colekingcage1671 also as for the control of the rings if you don't know already the elves were to strong for saurons control so they were fine the dwarves managed to resist it but there greed severely increased. Digging to deep the humans as you saw basicly got fully taken over and became the ring wraiths

Funny you mention Steve Blum because he has actually voiced Sauron in the LEGO Games, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War games

I know it's late but basically Eru = God, Melkor/Morgoth = Satan/Lucifer (top angel that got pissy and rebelled), Valar = High Tier Angels, Maiar = Lower tier Angels

Lich King: Originally created by a demon (Kil'Jaeden). Sauron: A fallen Maiar (angel), meaning that for all intents and purposes he IS a demon.

In most Abrahamic theologies which believe in demons or devils, Lucifer and Satan are one and the same. I think a more apt analogy would be to say that Morgoth is like Satan/Lucifer and Sauron is like one of the archdevils, such as Belial, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Valak, or someone like that.

You won't see this in the Lotr as these events happen before the Third Age..for all of this you need to read the Silmarillion, but if you don't like reading go look up Audiobooks or listen to lore explanations by for example Men of the West. But again Sauron may have been more cunning, but Morgoth or Melkor was his boss. THE Big Bad of Middle Earth. Creating Dragons that would swallow Game of Thrones Dragons. Doubt me look up the scale of Tolkien's Dragon's the one you'll be looking for...is Angacalon the Black. The battle between him and Earendil or Fingolfin and Morgoth is the stuff of legend and Mythology.
