Just got home with the junker. Started and ran beautifully so hopefully we're in good shape.

Could have taken the intake manifold off, and life would habe easier. But good job, wish you luck with your new ride.

Agreed. It wouldn't have needed to go so high. At least the new engine will be easier. Car is hit in the front, so that is coming off with a Sawzall. Thanks!

What was wrong with the engine?

Radiator failed and it was driven until it shut off. Turns over like there are no spark plugs in it. My guess is the rings are smoked at a minimum. Thanks!
