definitely swap the water pump on the new engine before putting it in. Make sure you use the new style with the 4 nosed bearing cover not the circular one. lexus or toyota dealership should have them. I did it in the car, but it’s a 1000x easier out of the car. the old style is much more prone to fail than the new one and 150k is about when they start to go.

Definitely doing the water pump. Also considering if it is leaking at the head/block/ front cover interface, to do timing sprockets when doing a reseal. Thanks!
