I have had the Speed 2 for 7 months and was only using on Sunday long runs. Then I decided to try some pb's on Strava segments between 400-900 meters and was shocked how fast the shoe's return was in sprint mode. Will buy the 3. Great review.

Love this review my friend - amazing idea to do the review while actually running to have your active thoughts in it. Think I’ll be picking a pair of these up.

Ran in the 1, 2, and will def do the 3’s…. But the colorways are just… sheesh. Hoping for just a clean white/simple colorway in the 3’s at some point. Awesome video man!

Thanks for the review, Ben! Looks like a great update. These are on my distant future "to buy" list, as I still have 2 pairs of Speed 2 to use. Not sure I like the all blue "smurf" colorway. I hope they have a few other sharper colorways in the works.

Can't wait to get a pair of these. Still waiting for the release in Australia. Glad to hear they are a bit wider.

I like how the color way is the same top to bottom, just a bit more aesthetically pleasing than white on the bottom. Love these reviews Ben!🤟

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have the Speed V2 and love them especially for tempo and thresholds… still have some miles in them as going strong after +330miles. Will hold off the upgrade for now and maybe check a discounted V2 based on your recommendation when they hit +500mi…

I bought them yesterday, right from the box, brake in period ne needed, so light, bouncy and comfortable, really was impresed, best shoes i ever had so far👍

I like the colour way. I like the fully coloured foam. I'm still on my Speed 1, and still love them. Definitely going to pick up some Speed 3.

Love the speeds 1. Retired one at 700+ km, second pair at 500 km, and third on 200 km (bought 2 pairs at discount for 110 € each). Also got RunShield which i love for winter time, they are so warm and soft! Speeds work best for me for faster runs, for easy runs i prefer Novablast 2, which are softer and more stable. Since Speeds 3 are wider and more stable, im definitely buying v3 also.

Hi Ben thanks for the review Does the mid/outsole flare out more at the base? I thought I read somewhere the base of the sole is wider ? Also whilst you ran in dry conditions do you think the changes will give more traction in the wet? Again I’ve heard about not so good in the wet for the 2’s.

Great video! have you changed the insole or you just used the insole that came with it?

I have just hit 250 miles/ 420 km. in my speed 2s. Love them. They are holding up very well but I can't wait to get the 3s. There are a few improvements they made that I think are spot on for me. Especially the wider heel.

Nothing but positives on the Saucony Endorphin Speed range. I’ve put 500km+ on the speed 1s (use them for interval sessions and races) and they are as good as new. Picked up a pair of the 2s at a significant discount a couple of weeks ago but they’ll stay in the box for the time being. Much like my phone - happy to be a version behind the latest!

Agree James! Especially if you can grab a bargain. £109 for the speed 2’s is the best I’ve seen and that for sure is the best value for money for a running shoe I’ve seen in a fair bit

It looks like a totally different blue from your studio to outside running and then it looks similar to the studio when outside at the end. Which is accurate? How does a shoe like this feel compared to an invincible run? Much firmer? Much lighter / more agile? More or less stable? More or less bouncy / springy?

Would you recommend for a marathon? I pronate and originally bought the Pro 3 but experienced a little pain around the arch on a 18 mile long run so considering switching to the Speed 3 for race day

I‘m currently using the first version of the endorphin speed, already got 700k in and still love the shoe! Especially for the fast stuff it’s doing very well for me. I will definitely consider the upgrade.. Thanks for the video Ben

I also still run in the 1's. I got roughly 400k in them. I rotate between 15 pairs of running shoes so my shoes last quite a while...i usually retire my shoes around 500k cos I'm heavier (75kg)

@@olegundel169 mine are still in great shape. The upper looks as new, the outsole isn't worn out all that much. Usually I retire my shoes when they lose their cushioning. With the Speeds, it's noticeable when I put on the Vaporflys and then back to the Speeds, they feel really flat but I'm guessing it's also because of the difference in foams used in these shoes.

Best all around shoe and uptempo trainer. I’ve even done some track workouts in the Endorphin Speed series. Best in the game.

Hi Ben, I know it’s a bit off topic here, but I’m trying to find out if white shoes are cooler with sunny weather then black shoes. The internet is very “unclear” on this subject. just keep in mind to tape your achilles with speed 3. I didnt and i hot tremendous blister due to the new plastic they put for stability. But that was personal experience and the speed 3 overall is a tremendous shoe

Just picked up a pair of v2's for £98 (converted the currency from $188 NZD) from an australian site - runnerinn. There is definitely deals out there for the v2's at the moment! Seems as though different colourways are being listed at different prices aswell as different sizes being more in demand than others, some sizes are on clearance on certain sites.

Can I ask, do you prefer the Saucony speed 3 or Adidas Boston 12? I can't decide!

Have yourm ran in the Mizuno wave rider 26? These seem like a similar concept? I have the wr 26. I like them and they make my times faster but I don't want to keep using the same muscles for each run with similar shoes

Seems like a great shoe! Although I’m not a big fan of this colorway in particular. The pink version does look very nice!

for a marathon in 4h30 for a 73 kg man, do you think it's possible with speed 3 or my vaporfly next 2?

Im currently building towards my first comrades and currently have the boston 12 and nitro elite (end of its life) as my training shoes, and looking for a new shoe. in two minds between the Speed 3 or Novablast 4 ? I enjoy running in the poppy shoes but also needing the cushioning on the daily runs. Just for reference Im a 2:20 marathon runner.

Currently using a Mach 4 for my daily trainer. The outsole is almost done now. Worth a punt on the Speed 3 for a similar versatile replacement? Only watched/read great things about this shoe and the durability of the Mach series is leaning me away from the 5th iteration.

Very similar fit and yes the outsole especially is likely to be a lot more durable

Speed 2 have been without question my top shoe over the past 6 months, so much so I bought 3 different pairs hahaha (2 x normal version and a pair of the Runshield edition). I think I will defo cop a pair of the 3 but in no rush, perhaps they will be a touch reduced by end of the year...

What do you think is the best daily out of endorphin speed 3, novablast 3 or novablast 4 ? I'm currently using endorphin speed 2

I have the 2s and 3s. My 2s are my go-to.

Ran in these for the first time yesterday. Was amazing, felt really comfy and enjoyable to run in. I pronate alot and these felt like they provide some stability. Only negative was my feet felt quite hot at times. Need to try them with thinner socks. I also have the nike zoomx invincibles so will rotate between the 2👍🏾

Sounds like a great rotation! I think with thinner socks you’ll feel how ventilated they are especially in the toe box!!

I own both the 1 and 2, not much of a difference in my opinion. The upper on the v2 is a bit easier to get a good lockdown in but apart from that it's pretty much the same shoe.

I still use the Speed 1, one of my favorite, I will attempt to grab the speed 2 at a discounted price now

Just received my pair today after not getting on with alphafly. Definitely a lot more comfortable and can barely feel them on your feet. I'm not sure they feel as fast from an initial 3 mile run but I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of speed for comfort.

After doing some more miles I'd class these as average running trainers. I feel pretty stupid falling for the hype tbh. I've had triumph 19 for around 150 miles and there's very little difference only weight in favour of the speed 3.

Yeah, I love my speeds. My only real complaint is the outsole, but that would be a marginal complaint. Definitely will pick up a speed 2 at discount then 3 in the future.

I got a couple of pairs of Speed 2 there lately for €87 a pair. Incredible value.

I haven't done enough kms in the Speed 2 to warrant an upgrade at this stage, but it's good to know you think highly of the Speed 3. I persoanlly quite like that colour way; it's a bit different.

@@BenIsRunning It 's not the amound of rubber, but the compound that is used that determines slipperiness. On a wet athletics track the speed 2 has no grip. The material seems to be the same in version 3.

Great colourway

I already own a pair of Speed 3 with which I've ran a little short of 400km, but the upper is not holding well on the sides. It seems to me that the giant logo should also serve as a reinforcement in the midfoot area. Problem is it came off easily and now the upper is ripping where the logo was and also where it meets the midsole. Luckily enough, it's a double-layer so it should hold for a while but it's a bit disappointing for a shoe at that price point.

Are they a true fit? Thinking of going for these to replace my everyday runner.

I gotta ask others who have bought the speed 3, is it just me or did u also go up half a size? I have the speed 2, triumphs and recently exodus ultra all in eu 42, the speed 3 felt just a tiny bit small.

Yes, same here! I wear a UK 5 in normal shoes, a 5.5 in most running shoes, but had to go up a full size to a 6 before the Speed 3s felt right.

Speed 3 or novablast 3 ?

I only quite recently bought the speeds 2 and they are great for training. Ben, WHEN is the weekly routine s+c plan vid!!

I have the Speed 2 and got the 3 and they look very different but if you closed your eyes and went for a run they feel very similar. I have sent them back and will get the Speed 2 at the discount.

Alphafly og for me would be 9, on monster and mach4 would be close too :)

The speed two was an awesome shoe. I'm not buying the 3 though... As a matter of fact: I'm moving away from Saucony all together. The problem I have with this brand, is that the heel-counters deteriorate fairly quickly. The fabric breaks down; gets holes in them and cause blisters. This happens ONLY with my sauconies. The speed 1 had this, the peregrine 12 had this problem and my Ride trails have it too. I bought The Adidas Boston 12 instead this year.

Hands down for me the Speed 2 is a much better choice! I found the Speed 3 to be more clunky and awkward. I could never match my times with the Speed 2’s vs. the Speed 3’s. Speed 2 wins!

3 does not last as long as the speed 2.
