@@marilepoulet A mi me pasa que si la canto no lloro o al menos no tengo tanto esa sensación, pero si solo me dedico a oírla con atención (Y mas si es en vivo) Me llega directo y si, lloro. T_T

I love this song! It made me cry the first time I heard it, and from time to time when I’m in a rough patch, it makes me cry again....

I'm from México too. I'm not the crying type, but I admit that this song moves something inside me that put me in a trance. I just love It. Saludos desde Coahuila.
Sara Bareilles, WE MISS YOUR VOICE!!!!!!! Can you put out another album? Please soon! 2023 or 2024... we so miss you!
Coming across this masterpiece by pure accident it immediately shook me to my core. After listening to it over and over again, I am reminded of how I truly am the author of my own book. Not being told how many pages I have to write on and once those pages have been used up and my journey here has come to a close, I’d like to think it’s a book I would reread. This song tugs at my soul and a “thank you” doesn’t cut it for me. I’m a changed woman. Brilliant, soft, loud when it should be and down right raw! It’s more to me than simply a song...❤️

Im glad you're here, stumbled upon & mesmerised by this master piece, sit down and dont forget your fluffly blanket and maybe tissues too
Whoever downliked this sing should be eliminated from the surface of the Earth. This song is pure beauty made music and seeing Sara perform is a privilege out of this world. PD: My wife and I flew to London from Barcelona only to watch Sara perform in The Waitress, right before the Pandemic stroke. Will definitely be an unforgettable evening. Thank you Sara for making such beautiful and heartful music.

"Anyone with different musical tastes must be eliminated" ...sounds like a fascist dystopian future. You're a creep.
Liked the song at 0:00 I knew I would love it that fast. Who's with me?

Thank you for this song. I can still picture you in my mind singing this wonderful song at Hollywood Bowl back in November 2019. ❤️
It's not simple to say Most days I don't recognize me These shoes and this apron That place and its patrons Have taken more than I gave 'em It's not easy to know I'm not anything like I used to be Although it's true I was never attention sweet center I still remember that girl She's imperfect but she tries She is good but she lies She is hard on herself She is broken and won't ask for help She is messy but she's kind She is lonely most of the time She is all of this mixed up And baked in a beautiful pie She is gone but she used to be mine It's not what I asked for Sometimes life just slips in through a back door And carves out a person And makes you believe it's all true And now I've got you And you're not what I asked for If I'm honest I know I would give it all back For a chance to start over And rewrite an ending or two For the girl that I knew Who be reckless just enough Who can hurt but Who learns how to toughen up when she's bruised And gets used by a man who can't love And then she'll get stuck and be scared Of the life that's inside her Growing stronger each day 'Til it finally reminds her To fight just a little To bring back the fire in her eyes That's been gone but it used to be mine Used to be mine She is messy but she's kind She is lonely most of the time She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie She is gone but she used to be mine
It’s a shame Waitress competed with Hamilton at the Tony’s. It would have won so much more stuff.
I had the pleasure of seeing Sara perform as Jenna on West End shortly before pandemic. One of the best experiences ever. Songs from Waitress helped me go through grief after my best friend's death, and this one especially.
saw and heard her sing this at mohegan sun casino. now, she needs to come to rochester ny for our 2022 jazz festival, so we can hear her again. 🤩🤗🥳😇

JRS I was there too (upper bowl right). One of the best concerts I've ever attended. Can't wait for this album to be released.
Who's crying listening to this? Me, that's who.
OMG My favourite song! How beautiful it would have been there to see you live!!! LOVE IT SO MUCH 🥰🥰🥰
Have you ever felt agony, relieved, excited and feel like crying all at once? Thats how i feel right now. Today i asked my mom if i was diagnosed with Aspergers as a child. She said yes but she never told me or got me help. Instead everyone just treated me different and called me retarded and psycho. I feel like this song. Anyway, happy mothers day lol

My mom thought I had something along those lines when I was a kid...her explanation for why she never took me for diagnosis was, she's my mom so she knows best how to manage my condition...and went so far as to say it's the reason she became a nurse. It was not until after she had disowned me and I was living homeless and suicidal that I found help and got diagnosed with OCD and autism. Yay for moms. :P
Hi Sara, you have no idea how this song got me through lots of hardships in life - mostly on the things that leads me to lose myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making and singing this song so beautifully.
Beautiful. She's amazing.
Her voice is sublime, similar to Karen Carpenter. Such a talent!!
