In the UK, it's £449. I got a £100 trade-in and a £100 cash-back deal. £249 for this phone is a great price. I've had it a few days now and coming from a 5 year old Honor phone, I'm loving it.

2 months in with this phone.. using it every day and haven't had a problem with the phone at all. The things that matter to me are a good screen, good speaker, good battery, and good haptics, got mine for $305 for 8gb with 128 and I haven't been able to find a phone that's this good for that price. I will say if the Samsung s23 FE ever comes out I would upgrade to that just because I miss wireless charging, DEX, and a bit faster SOC would be good

I am interested in buying this phone, but I've heard that it is very slippery to hold on to because of the glass backing and also that this phone gets pretty hot from watching just 2 video's on KZread.. True or false? Would be interested in finding out, since these are the only 2 things stopping me from buying it..

@@rmaxwell3294 The phone is indeed slippery but I ended up putting a case on it after a month, so it doesn't really matter unless you don't like cases. I noticed it got warm using apps like KZread for the first 2 or 3 days I had the phone, after that I haven't noticed it at all, I don't play games on it tho so that might be different with demanding games. I've only played Stardew Valley on it and it has no problems at all.

​​@@rmaxwell3294The phone is slippery and I would recommend a case and screen protector as soon as you buy it. My daughter and I own a Galaxy A54 5G as well and it's been pretty good, no complaints. As for the phone heating up we've had no heating issues with it. I watch alot of KZread and it's all good. I get around 7 hours of screen on time. Over all it's a good phone and we love it!

Hi, love your real and honest videos. I am picking up the A54 from Verizon tomorrow. Not a gamer or heavy camera user. Mostly talk text, surf the web, stuff like that so I think it would be perfect for me. As long as it lasts at least 3 to 4 years, I'll be glad. I'm coming from the A50 which I got in 2019 and it's just been giving me way too many problems performance wise. I'm sure I'll see a big improvement In the A54. Thanks a lot. I just try to by myself and share my experience. I’m glad that you enjoy the videos. I love making videos and trying to help people with finding the right phone and I’m glad I get to do it for a living. My favorite… that’s a tough one. Im not even sure I have a favorite. There are things I like about so many. I think probably my favorite if I had to pick is the Xperia 1 IV. But my top ones I enjoy the most are Xperia 1 IV, Surface Duo 2, Pixel 7, S23 Ultra. I also really enjoy the Fold 4 and this new Oppo Find N2 Flip. So see… there are too many lol.

So, please go watch the breakdown video break down. The A54 has a plastic(polycarbonate) bumper. It is attached to an inner one-piece aluminum frame. So a two piece frame. Nice review. In get almost 2 days on a charge with 7 hour screen on time. Camera is great. Great phone. I traded in my old A51 got it direct from Samsung for $250.00. Love the phone.

Used to have the A71 in years gone by. Tried to break it out again as I broke my 6 Pro, but trying to get it working again, I somehow bricked it!! Was a good phone and did all I needed. Not a games player. Went Pixel Pro as I do take a lot of photos, but did consider an A54. I think we can all agree that the price of mobiles has got so high. But far too many people think that they need a S23, iPhone Max or some such other top of the range mobile, when they'd be far better not worrying about status and getting something more sensible like this A54, which probably could do all that was needed.

yeah i changed from a71 to this phone. had the a71 3 years i think this was a good upgrade. got free samsung buds with it too

I always turn on battery saver. I can save battery life for two days or more. I turn off notifications & app background data. So battery life extends more.

Another thing is that the 6 gb of ram model starts with only 4 gb and you have to go into the settings and turn on the option to use some of your storage to use 2gb of virtual ram to make it 6gb. I did that and turned off the power saver that limited the cpu to only 70%. Been solid so far now .

Thanks. Glad you enjoy the videos. Don't do that. You'll hate yourself for going from an S22 to a A54. I would trade in the S22 for a Z Flip 5. Either with Samsung or check carrier deals. I know some carriers have great specials. Samsung is giving $600 trade in for the S22

I just bought this unlocked from Sammy yesterday for OTD $251.53 (+$2.99 Honey cash) with a $150 trade-in for Apple SE (first gen) and a very few Samsung reward $'s. Pixel 6a is my go to ($149 at launch with 3A trade-in). I knew that the usb c is only 2.0 but didn't know that meant no hdmi out (now I have two phones that have no hdmi out). I have S9 tab (yay for hdmi out), a GW 6 which I love, and just got the new FE buds which don't beat Pixel Pros overall but do beat the A-series. I also ordered a refurbed S21 (hdmi out). I'm probably gonna stick with the A54, esp as I wanted to try a larger phone. Thanks for your review.

I'm glad to see so many reviews about this phone that are pretty positive. I went to buy the A15 yesterday but they were out of stock, so they offered this one, and I said okay since I had done some research on this one as well. I was a little upset because I wanted that larger screen and squared sides from the A15, but I decided to give this one a chance. I have only had it less than a day so far, but I think I'm going to love it. The reviews are very helpful.

A very worthwhile phone for a midrange device. Love that red car. Great video.

Good "real world" review. This one looks tempting. I currently have an old iPhone 12 Pro, but I'd be happy using this.

I think a really cool idea would be a perspective video from a younger person like your son teenage perspective on certain phones. Since they play games they do different things on their phones but pushing them to their limits. That would be an amazingly cool video to watch. You being an attorney I'm sure your very good at cross examination 😂 . Maybe once a week type content. Just stuff that I'd like to see 😊

Few are buying this full price, generous trade-in allowances is making the A54 even more attractive. Old flagships mean older battery and fewer OS updates.

I game not on lower settings. Phone handles it just fine. This phone does more than plenty.

Do you think this phone is good enough to compete in the Gig market (doordash for example) or will I need something with a better processor

I Love my Samsung Galaxy A54 5g " It Runs Great with a Beautiful Display an has 120hz!

I have this phone for about 2 weeks now. The only thing I hate about it is that the normal wide lens has 2x, but the portrait lens has only the wide angle lens. Now, portrait shots must be narrow and zoomed in to get a tighter shot of your subject. Not wide. Unless that’s what you’re going for. The bokeh effect looked very artificial. The portrait mode of this phone is the only thing I didn’t like about it. Other than that, it’s a good phone. 8.7/10 for me.

What camera did you use to record this video ?

I have the A54 and was loving the camera. Especially in portrait mode,it allowed really cool editing ...until they apparently did an update and now that's all gone. Any advice on how to get those functions back? Thx

Yeah I have to say its OK I found that it did lag and had touch screen problems not registering swipes. Don't know why Samsung won't just use a snapdragon..I would even be have with last year's 765, you almost got it Samsung

Ridiculous this has an SD card slot when the flagship models don't.

I got it at Walmart for $270 with t-mobile $45 a month no contract. So happy because I don't game or use the camera much and I wasn't gonna shell out the cash for a flagship phone because of it.

I went ahead and bought it, downgrade from s23u and will not look back. I finally realised what a waste of money buying flagship phones, my a54 is doing pretty much what s23u did, yeh sure its slower but doesnt seem to be that much different. Unless you get to use all the specific features on a flagship phone then its just waste of money.

It depends on what you use your phone for. If you use the phone for the camera, you’re better off with a flagship, but If you just use it to scroll social media and watch KZread, a mid ranger would probably be fine.

S23Fe is 499e now. Test it and see how it feels. Pretty good value for the money. It got even some od the Ai features S24 flagships have.

The display is wonderful on the A54, my pixel 6 display is an embarrassment compared to the A54

A54 has an excellent screen.

My a54 is great phone but I has screen proplem there is like a yellow tint moving a cross the screen as I tilting the screen a little bit back and forth it's like parts of the screen changes color to more yellowish according to the angle you looking at also it's hard to tell unless you looking at the screen carefully with white background. Don't your unit has this problem I found more than one user said has the same problem

In my country galaxy a54 is 300$-320$, is it woth buying over an pixel 6a?

It's never brought up, but you have the ability to edit photos in the camera app. Some basic editing will make photos look flagship. In iphone 11, just brighten night photos, and it'll look like iphone 14 night photos. Even Blu phones look amazing when photos are edited.

The company does not provide a unit only program to be installed in your mobile. Thus I have some basis on the performance of the phone like Between a54 vs realme pro, they are almost the same spec I believe but it was beaten down in performance and battery.

I've got this phone uk version unlocked and I think the camera is great I'm sending this on iPad I sub so can post some holiday pics very clear colours as you say pop not not much on sunny days screen easy to see I use my phone for work log in out to calls all day on from 6.30 am to gone 10 50 to 60% left so I don't charge want to protect battery all in all a great phone it was a present for my 50th one of best things wife bought me hand on heart

Strange when I get a54 128gb was thinking it have 6gb ram. Now I see from phone it have 8gb.. Was thinking 8gb is for 258gb models only. I won't complain plan is to use it 5 years.

Tempted on this phone. Just listening to the part about the plastic. I never understand people who say plastic is inferior. For the purposes of a phone which may be under daily risk of damage plastic IS a premium material. The purpose of a product dictates the best materials, there is a reason why kids toys are made of plastic and not glass or metal, it fits the use of the product.

I expect wireless charging for a $500 phone. My dad is a hell of a handy man and that charging ports gets dirtyyyyy

Most people use cases in their budget to midrange phones anyway so alot of the time we don't care if it glass or plastic a case is going on it😅

375 dollars here in brazil for the 8gb version and you get the charger in the box

At first you need to know if you want an Android or a IOS device. I personally would take the Android (A54) because I like android more and you have more customization and more functionality. The iPhone is simpler than the Android. Also I can say that the A54 gets hate for the performance but its not true. The owners of the A54 will tell you that the performance is good enough for everything. I personally would take the A54

I had commented and deleted my comment about finding the A54 for $269.99, but that was the price if I traded in my A42 5g, which was the offer samsung was giving me. Tempting but I'm not willing to give up my battery life for the nicer screen. Edit: I know that seems stupid but right now I am showing 4h 4 min of screen on time and my battery is at 75%. It is showing that I have 14 hours and 58 minutes remaining at my current rate of consumption. Which is light gaming and media consumption.

Not everybody wants an used phone that can break at any point without warranty plus you dont get as ma y updates.

Galaxy A54 5G doesnt have plastic frame, it is aluminum. Many KZreadrs say it is plastic frame but it is not, i check with Samsung support and also Marques Brownlee MKBHD, also my A54 5g was fall and hit the rim on sharp corner of table and it left dent which is not usual for plastic. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYisrJeofNjem7A.html

Why is an all day phone a bad thing? If it didn't get you through a day that's one thing but just charge it when you sleep. Really not a big deal. Ya gotta sleep sometime.

It’s not a bad thing. But with a mid-tier 5nm chip and 1080p and 5,000mAh battery, I would expect 2. The exynos is just not power efficient even it’s not powerful, and bad on battery/heat.

Am sure the phone is nice but In most of the world is 500 and more dollars What is the point of that phone if is no 4k 60 fps not in main and not in selfie , don't forget you can get on second hand market s20 fe for 150$ and s21 fe for around 300$ and less...

I upgraded from a S9 to an A54 and the camera is better. The phone in general is better. Much better. People are complaining about the performance in the A54 in most of the reviews but thats not true. The A54 is much smoother and its just perfect

For me. When premium phones are $1k, I consider $600ish to be a mid-range phone. Less expensive like the A54 5g would be low range in my opinion. Especially with 4gb ram..... Battry drain problem

Watching this on my S23+ 😬 would much rather have the flagship for 3-4 years over the midrange.

Really is a good phone, except the dimensions of the phone are too large. Needs to be more reg. S22 size.

The phone is literally not made for gaming and vlogging. This phone is perfectly fine for casual use and a decent camera is just a plus. I will always choose samsung over high performance chinese phone but trash quality
