A television legend and all-around funny guy, he will greatly be missed. | Regis’ first major ongoing role on television was as the right-hand man to Joey Bishop on The Joey Bishop Show. Sammy had Nehru jackets made for Regis and Joey when he made an appearance on the show in 1968.
