i'm enjoying the fact that it's a reboot - there was a point when i didn't know what saints row was, who johnny gat was, who pierce and shaundi were, so it'll be refreshing to experience getting to know the saints once again. still, i can see them perhaps dropping some hints alluding to the old universe, like maybe suggesting this new reality the new game finds itself in is in fact an effect of the time machine getting fucked up or idk, God punishing them for all their sins, or however the hell GOOH ended. nothing above occasional references or easter eggs, but i wouldn't mind them including this sort of little callbacks in this new game to maintain a minor level of continuity. even if they do decide to bring some of the OG characters back, i just hope they manage to find a way to rewrite them interesting enough to justify their presence in the game without shoving this nostalgia down everybody's throats another question i had is - beyond the image of the wall - what is it exactly that they're trying to communicate to us through the social media? like what does geoff keighley's "BossIt" mean? why is it spelt "reb00ting"? what is this aesthetic and the font they're using on their website? why does it look so 2000s? interesting to speculate on this in these last few days of us not knowing what this game is going to be like

I really hope they go back toward the approach they took with SR2. It was the 'peak' of saint's row for me. It managed to swing between 'ridiculous' and 'serious' without the same level of awkwardness of the later entries, and that more grounded story really served the game quite well, highlighting the absurdity of some of the things you were doing rather starkly.

If this game is set in the 2000's, I'm gonna cry like a little girl.

They should have activities that cater to both styles so that the player can choose how they want to play. I personally like 1 & 2 more, but I think fans of 3 & 4 should be allowed to equip clothes, weapons, & vehicles that cater to their style of play, even if the story is more grounded like the first 2.

God of War (2018) is officially considered a reboot (it was officially branded as that by Sony), but it still has the same Kratos from the older games. Reboots can be unconnected from original continuities sometimes, but that's not a hard rule that all reboots follow.

Never played any of the Saints Row games but your 'What Happened To Agents Of Mayhem' and this video made me subscribe, your editing skills are off the charts and you're pretty good at entertaining. I can't wait to see your reaction video to the Saints Row Reboot trailer.

@@agentfIipper He doesn’t have a discord server I’m referring to the official saints row discord and none of his videos are like in announcements or pinned anywhere. from what I’ve heard he posts them in main chat and that stuff gets swept away with time. The videos are available on his Patreon and on his website but you have to know the right links to access the certain webpages because they aren’t currently linked on the homepage.
