It was a shock to us too haha, we are both really excited to get started on the new adventure once Matt gets home :)

Since the announcement on Facebook, when we heard about how, Matt and his dad were sailing Nova back across the Atlantic, how Matt's dad was buying Nova and you were going to buy an old gaff rigged cutter.. I have like everyone else been waiting for this episode to hear about your thoughts, motivations and reasons for making this big change...so in this episode Matt say's to camera, how he and his dad were sailing Nova back across the Atlantic, how Matt's dad was buying Nova and that you were going to buy an old gaff rigged cutter..... Lol! I suppose we will just have to wait for the next livestream! :-)

Hi Dave! it all happened so fast for us that we didn't get chance to film anything about reasons etc before I left unfortunately. Once Matt gets home we will be doing a live stream explaining everything in detail :)

In case no one told that round thing was a dead sand dollar they are brown when alive. happy sailing

I hope you realise just how much work and maintenance is needed on a wooden hull, enjoy.

A lot of work will be needed but its what we've always wanted, classic yachts have always appealed to us more, it will just be a heck of a lot of work :)

That thing you found while cleaning the bottom is a sand dollar. They are natural and come in several varieties. If you google legend of the sand dollar you can learn a cute story about them.

The video of the sailing, along with the choice of music is so calming and gentle. Thanks very much for another wonderful vid. I knew Paige was headed ‘home’, but it didn’t make the news any better. Lol. Looking forward to the next segment.

Matts currently on his way back to the UK and once he gets there we will be doing a livestream on plans and whats happening on our end :) Then the adventure will resume once we have the new boat and built finds back up :)

So what happened to the adventure?

Bummer. Short sail around the world. I missed the last video - was this a long time coming?

We haven't finished our sail around the world, will be heading off again once we have the new boat. We had always planned on returning to the UK to rebuild the kitty and since the American visa's fell through it came at a good time to return.

Sand dollar.

What did you say you were gonna buy? Couldn't quite catch it with the accent. A new (to you) boat? If so, what's the destination plan after the new boat?

Hi Chris, it will be a new boat to us but we are going with classic so very old to the world haha. Once we have the new boat the adventure will start again and we be continuing on with our plans of circumnavigating :)

Thanks :D Tom Cunliffe is in Norway currently sailing. Nova will be heading back to Plymouth where Matts parents will sail her from. We aren't sure on where we will keep the new yacht just yet.

Wait what? I was hoping that Matthew was going to start teaching sailing classes in the Caribbean?

Thats still the plan, unfortunately we couldn't get Visas for America to get us out of the hurricanes and had always planned to go home to add more to our funds, so it came quite suddenly but was the best time to return home and rebuild the kitty before continuing on again :) it will just be with a classic yacht.

Your Dad bought your boat and you are going to buy a wooden boat? Without subtitles, it's hard understanding. Rethink that wood boat thing. Just saying.

Hi Mike, yes Matts parents are taking over Nova and we will be buying a classic yacht instead :) a gaff rig is what we are really looking for.
