    Great review video! I wanted to add that a US 9-9.5 Intuition Premium and the Medium Intuition V2 fit perfectly in the US 8-9 FR shell which in the FR1 Deluxe Intuition version would be equivalent to the US 9.5-10 version (EU 42-43, 27.5-28 cm). This has been my experience with the fit of the liner and shell.

    Another little nugget of info: I have 280-281mm feet. Bought the FR1 Deluxe EU 42 (size 8 shell) knowing that it's limit was 28cm (280mm). At first, the liners were certainly tight on my big toe, but I could tell there was still just enough space in the shell. So, after a few rounds of heat molding, using a smaller sock of rice to reach the depths of the toe area, and ensuring the heel got heated with another sock of rice, and using a makeshift toe cap out of cardboard (which hurt like hell standing for 10 minutes), my liners now fit like an absolute glove. I've essentially thinned it out, creating a deep pocket for my heel, which has given the liner more interior room. I can now even wiggle my big toe. The difference is incredible. So for anyone else who's at the border of their liner size, go ahead and make that order for a good fit. Side note: I also ordered the 43.5 (about to return them), which comes with a Size 10 shell. The liner fit right out of the box, but there was too much space in the toe area of shell for my liking. Coming off some FRXs that were too big as well, I was now going for a performance fit over comfort. I only wish they could make me skate like Leon Basin 😂

    @PracticalPrimate NP. You should go for the EU 42. It's going to definitely take some heat molding of the boot if you get the Intuitions. I had to run a couple of sessions using smaller socks of rice to get deep into the sock area. Then to stretch it out while it was hot, I put some thick cardboard on my toes

    Great review, and glad I found it. I'm trying to decide between the FR1 standard liner or the intuition liner. My feet are also 275mm, so hopefully a 42/43 will fit fine if I get the intuition liner.

    I would say go with the standard liner if you have wider feet because it bumps up to the next shell. The intuition version is great if you have a normal to semi wide foot width.

    I prefer my Seba Carbon wizards, but with that being said, the FR1's are top notch and worth every penny. I never liked intuitions in my FRs when I rode them, I preferred the stock FR liners. The ONLY thing I found that was a let down on the FR1s were the lack of being able to rocker the wheels like on the FR2s and 3s. But then I had Endless 100/110s on mine. Side note, I 'm always replacing my ratchet straps and cuff straps with velcro straps, regardless of the boot, I just like velcro straps.

    interesting perspective. I have not ridden the FR liners, but this would put me in a bigger shell size so not a fan of that. as far as rockering goes, I do not wizard skate so that does not fit my style of skating. Good thing frames are replaceable for rockering and wizard frame options. Thanks for checking out the video and always appreciate feedback/additional insight!

    V2 Intuitions work perfectly fine inside the Fr1 and also hold up better.

    Nice review, I'll add that the white FRUFRAPs are nice and flexy whereas I've heard people say these black ones are pretty stiff? When you were talking about the wheels you said the urethane might be hardening up, is that a time related thing or just a wear thing? I know that after I've worn a few mm down on my wheels they get less grippy until you're basically at the core and then they're real slippery! But I've never known the reason why cuz in theory I thought the durometer would be the same throughout 🤷‍♂️

    I skate both black and white ufr and the white ufr is definitely more flexy and would recommend over the black. As far as wheels go, it’s a good question. I’ve botice wheels harden as they wear and not sure if it’s a heat thing or if the wheels are just more dense near the core. Can’t imagine it would be an age thing unless its over 5 year old wheels. Will look into this more

    Great reviews! Is this a skate you would still recommend for someone that’s not interested in aggressive skating? I like the idea of rockered wheels, upgrading to endless or wizard frames eventually, I would like to have high performance slalom/urban skates and I’m trying to decide between the fr fr1 deluxe intuition , the fr ufr 90 intuition, or the roller blade cross fire, I’d appreciate any advice, thanks, keep up the great reviews! I have not skated the RB crossfires so cannot speak to them. I like the FR for just skating so much that I picked up the white deluxe 80 and threw on Endless frames. I would say figure out what frames and wheels you want to ride and use that to decide. I think there are less frame options for UFS versus the 165.

    I bought regular FR1 skates and I have big problem with ankle strap. It's just too short to get properly into buckle. It needs to go into the buckle until you hear a click an then you can use the buckle mechanism ti tighten it up. However I have big problem pushing it in until that first click due to strap being too short.

    Are liners in regular FR1 (non deluxe) removable? And is it possible to add intuition liner to regular FR1? Thanks

  • @Jordan.Skates

    @Jordan.Skates

    The liners are removable. The stock FR liners are puffier than Intuition so you will want to refer to the FR Intuition size chart to verify the size of shell you should get.
