It's all about skating!
Got back into skating in 2021 after a 10 year hiatus from a knee injury. My skating is somewhat limited from some old injuries, but these old injuries allow me to push myself in a different way now.
The goal of my channel is to make inline skating related content. This content includes videos of unboxing products I’m interested in, giving initial impressions, giving honest unbiased reviews of products that I review after breaking in and skating for a while and pay for with my own money, capture my new progress skating, challenges, and checking out new skate parks, all while enjoying what I love - rollerblading!

I'll skate without a helmet. But without a belt? Never. There's important stuff down there.
27MP booty It’s a hard call for me M257 64/58 or M268 68/60 I like em both!!! I can’t do the Classic Oysi comfortably 72/60
that rail is intimidating.. nice!
Nice skating bro
Very good and thought through review, thanks a lot for the effort, mate :)
Man I wish I could downsize in Oysi frames as I have a small shell and the 257 feels a bit too big 😅
You can now! Well, sort of. They just announced a new 4x60 frame in a 241mm length. Not sure if that's *too* small.
@@Rollerbalder yeah I just saw that, amazing timing haha
@rollingpetetato I was going to Say FR and Oysi just dropped a collab flat frame. must have heard your demands!
Would you say the toe width equals to length? Asking because I want to downsize from a 8 shell 9.5/10 to 8.5/9 BUT I’m pretty close to the end of the shell. 26.5 MP love Salomon ST 27/27.5 with CJ Foryos liner
I have not looked at other sizes for the FR but typically skates get proportionally wider as they get longer. Per the FR intuition size chart, you should fit a 40.5-41.5 skate with a 26.5 mondo (size 7 shell)
@@Jordan.Skates Thank you! I’ll have to try them on to make the final decision. I wanna stick with UFR for Aggressive and Big Wheel
Great vid, Jordan. I never considered a smaller size. I just went with what was suggested.
Thx for the video. 👍🏻
I have the blanks with that exact frame and it is awesome! I’m running fluid IV anti on my second set of blank boots currently but I’m planning on going back to the Oysi setup in a month or 2. Great update and great footage 🤙
Ccrazy fruit bootin is still a thing
@witturd1331 inline skating is a blast and we are still here, unphased!
I wear a 11.5 to a 12 and the oysi 257 medium frames are my perfect setup, with the 257 flt4 as a close second,
Hi I just got these the frame blots are two different lengths how do I know which length is designed to go where sort ones at front or bk ? Thanks
i think i just used the stock bolts on my skates but you can use the frame bolts on your skate as a comparison. take the liner out after installation to make sure it’s not poking above the top of receiver as you will feel it. hope that helps.
Fanks buddy yeh did help
subscribing bro what a breath of fresh air. A lot of channels that have such agendas or biases or are otherwise compromised
thanks for watching! and appreciate the feedback!
I love detailed reviews. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you like them!
What size are your knee and elbow pads? They're 🔥.
think these were the xl?
@@Jordan.Skates 🔥
How much do they weigh boot only incl. soulplate?
1402g for the size 9.5
I keep eyeing these boots but I am allso I 275 but I have wider feet Would these suit a wider foot
Probably depends on how wide your feet are. I have an average width fit and I found they were a little narrow to start but I heat molded them and used foam tape on liners to help push out carbon in some tight spots and it worked like a dream.
@@Jordan.Skates thanks my feet are 108mm wide I have some cl15s that are snug but they don’t hurt to badly like some other brands so thought I would look at these but no local skate shops to try them on
@@Call23456 I think mine are right around 100. They could work but you would need likely need to heatmold to widen and shape to your foot.
@@Jordan.Skates cheers dude may look at other options then
@call23456 What skates fit you width wise?
I agree the liners were surprisingly good. I use Intuition premium liners in the Blanks now as they fit my foot perfectly but the stock liners were very good.
i really want to try the new nomad liners
great video, explanations and bonus vid. I also ride the oysi reds. What are your wheels?
thanks for watching! the wheels are the faction shredpool v1 wheels. Same plant that makes Chroma, 50/50, and Dream wheels. they have the two sizes meant for oysi frames. www.factionskatecompany.com/product/shredpool-wheel/
Fantastic review as always. Jam packed with details and facts. Good stuff 🙌
Thanks homie, always appreciate feedback!
Good review! How well does the buckle protector work? What does the bridge hardware look like?
thanks! buckle protector was great, only scraped buckle on slide outs but never smashed it on a ledge. there is no bridge hardware since the soul plate has a hole in it for the frame to mount to the boot. hardware was solid and didnt bend, move, or warp.
So how does the soul plate mount the the boot? Just the ufs bolts?
@@joshcontreras8821 screws on the bottom and receivers inside the shell. Soul plate is solidly secured
I agree, they are heavier but once they are on your feet you don’t notice because how well they fit with the shell break and inserts. I’ve been riding then with tnec frames. Having that extra few mm for the frame to sink in is noticeable and a really confident ride.
I think rb made a big batch of fualty 60mm hydrogens. I had got some for 20 bucks on sale and they are a great compound. probably the best I tried but the cores were weird on some the and they where mis=shaped a bit brand new
that is possible. stock wheels have a reputation of generally not being the best
man, Knees don't work the same at our age but you were out there landing everything and making it look fun. Great vid
thanks! I have my days where I can’t land anything
Couldn't agree more in regards to the Blank liners. I have now upgraded to RL2 liners for my Standard Omni, but the blank was amazing too. Can't beat it for the price!
it really is a good liner
I love the fact that you wear a helmet. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
thanks! gotta protect the noggin
What size blanks did you get, you and I always have the same size I’ve noticed!
i got the 9-9.5 for my 275 mondo. thanks for watching!
Enjoyed your detailed and technical review. Thanks a lot 👍🏻
much appreciated! 🤙
Great review, really enjoy your videos. You’re very thorough and it’s very enjoyable to see you skate. I used to ride Rollerblade deluxe and, after a 20+year hiatus, I decided to get back to online skating. I bought a pair of SK blanks last summer. My main complaints with the skates are the frames aren’t great for riding flat, the skates are heavy and the cuff is stiff. 3 months later I bought a pair of Aeons and had an easier time learning. They’re lighter, more flexible and have a wide h-block. I feel the Aeons are better for getting started and the blanks become interesting once you get more comfortable grinding.
i never rode the stock frames flat but like them on this skate for anti rocker. skates are a bit heavier for sure but for me did not impact performance. cuffs were a bit stiff to start which is why i threw in the tip for more flex with lacing liners. cuffs loosened up after a month of skating or so and got even flexier with time.
Great review. Having skated the same shell size, I agree with pretty much all of it. Oysi frames were indeed a great match on these, but my only real complaint was that it just felt slower for some reason. Like I tried a few different frames on these boots that I'd had on others, and they always felt slower on the Blanks. Lengthwise they were indeed a good fit on me with Intuitions, but I'd bang my toes occasionally. I ended up moving to Fifth Elements after these just because I prefer the fit, but the Blanks are indeed a great skate for the money.
I think it’s the souls that feel slower. they are really wide and more surface area =more drag resistance
Great Skating!
much appreciated 🤙
Hell yeah dude. Great spot, great skating 👏
much appreciated 🤙
That street spot is smoother than my local skatepark lol!! Nice video tho
Thanks 👍
Sounds like a sticking with old faithful, $2 - 5mm yoga mat.
they are fine but better if the soul plate is mounted to the skate.
Always killin it Jordan!
thanks!
Lets Go 🙌🙌
thanks!
👏👏👏👏
Hell bro great work🎉
thanks!
I bought regular FR1 skates and I have big problem with ankle strap. It's just too short to get properly into buckle. It needs to go into the buckle until you hear a click an then you can use the buckle mechanism ti tighten it up. However I have big problem pushing it in until that first click due to strap being too short.
Can you send a couple pics on my instagram _jordan.skates_
@@Jordan.Skates sure. I'll add video as well.
Soild
thanks!
Hope you enjoyed the comp. I had so much fun. Btw, its durham with a silent h. Not durNam like you were pronouncing it. Thanks for the content.
thanks for the clarification 🤙
Are liners in regular FR1 (non deluxe) removable? And is it possible to add intuition liner to regular FR1? Thanks
The liners are removable. The stock FR liners are puffier than Intuition so you will want to refer to the FR Intuition size chart to verify the size of shell you should get.
@@Jordan.Skates thanks
thank you for posting skate videos man! I am a 22 y/o British dude who has been skating recreationally for about 12 years now. I am just venturing into the world of aggressive skating, in big part because of your videos :)
That is awesome! When do we get to see some clips?
@@Jordan.Skates haha, I'm not quite there yet. I went out for the first time today (it was raining yesterday which was when my skates came) and I learned how to jump up and down kerbs, do 180s whilst skating on flat ground, and this thing I'm not sure what it's called, but where I roll with the front heel wheel and the back toe wheel. My town recently built a pump track, which I am going to hit first thing tomorrow morning!
pierwszy :)
where can i get that cozmo hat?!
I don't think you can anymore.
Guess that disconnection feelings you experienced with the fr ufr is not a problem on these ?
These don’t feel disconnected at all.
how much did you pay for it my frien?
Think the full skate was $500
Do you have any tips for getting the middle wheels in?
You need something to wedge the frame to create a little more room to slide the wheels in. You don't want to hammer the wheels in as that will damage the bearings/wheels.
Gotta love that east coast humidity. ❤
I'm from dry ass Denver. Humidity is no joke.
Bummer about the wheel, but you killed it. Great meeting you this weekend!
It was good meeting you too!
Good video brother
Appreciate it!
