    Damn. Ryobi is a force to be reckoned with. My boyfriend is getting me the 6 pack of tools for my Birthday/Christmas. Mainly because I do all the maintenance. I'd almost rather have this. It's awesome! Thank you for showing this demo. I came here from the Ryobi site to see what this tool ACTUALLY CAN DO. I love it! I have the weed eater, pole saw, Reciprocating, which I will give to my neighbor since my fella is giving me the 6 pack. We're getting our neighbor a 3 pack because the druggies stole all his tools. I have the leaf blower. Couldn't be happier. Ryobi is a bad a** platform. My eyes are old and manuals are hard to read. I'm a visual learner and tutorials on KZread usually work for me but some I have to keep rewatching until it sinks in. I like listening to narrators read the bible. Wish narrators read manuals out loud, too. I swear I'm literate. I just have bad eyes and I like to keep my head stuck in a box to learn. Some of that is A.D.D. :D

    I was really surprised how much cutting power (and torque) this saw had out of the box. I've used other (10" saws) previously and was pretty surprised with the speed and cutting ability of this Dewalt saw.I have bolted mine to a table to minimize movement which I highly recommend.This is a Great saw kzread.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe with a light to see your cutting line (not a laser line).I'd recommend this saw fro anyone looking to upgrade from a 10" miter saw.

    I picked this saw up on sale and upgraded to a top line blade and a lazer. Replace the baseboards in our spare bathroom and it made perfect cuts. For the price it was a bargain. Not sure what a pro would have charged but i likely still saved a bundle

    RYobi is the brand id like to see make higher end tools because the price and wide range of tools they make is great. That being said the power on this saw is weak at best , they should make it use dual 18v batteries or dual 40v batteries . I own this saw and a flexvolt 120 max , the power difference is crazy. I use this saw when i have jobs in places i don't want to take the bigger saw but the speed drop hurts.

    I have a question, I bought mine recently to do my baseboards, I put the baseboard vertically against the metal. I then tried to cut, but the saw didn't go all the way through.. I checked the depth adjustment and is not set. Is this normal? I've been having to cut laying the piece horizontally and adjusting the bevel for the degree.. thanks for the video!

    The depth of the blade is pretty shallow because of the size so in most cases for base you’ll have to lay it down

    Don’t know how I missed this review. Thanks for sharing. I went for the craftsman when it was at $114, but changed my mind at the store since I already have 10inch Kobalt.But now kicking myself because having to move the miter to plug up and usually a location I don’t want it is a pain. I want this and was wondering about the precision and power with only one battery

    the precision is good however just like every miter saw you will need to ensure the alignment is correct with measurement tools. Thanks for your comment

    How many cuts before the saw gives up and needs a fresh battery?

  • @livefreeandtoolon

    @livefreeandtoolon

    2 жыл бұрын

    It’s in the hundreds however it also depends on the battery size the bigger the more cuts and the size of the wood matters too.

    Did you get noticable performance out of the 9ah pack? That 4ah sounded like the blade was struggling but maybe it didn't feel like it using the tool. The features seem good and it has features that the Kobalt 24v has but the Milwaukee of same size lacks. I was looking at a few compact saws lately and had planned on the 8 1/2 Makita 40v but the only kit purchase I could find were like a 3 month wait time preorder and a 1/4 year seemed crazy, so I went with the Milwaukee even though it lacked some features I felt it would be durable enough. Thanks for the vid.

    Not sure, Ryobi claims over 500 but it really depends on the type of cuts and wood. I used it for a solid couple of days and a 4ah lasted just fine

    I got the rlsw01 saw stand and it is great! Just fold it and roll away until next time. The saw can be attached when folding it. I do some DIY building (stables, chicken coops, car ports, etc) on the farm and for me it saves heaps of time.

    @@sendmedics Diablo, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Ryobi, and probably others classify the 40 tooth 7 1/4 blades as finish iirc. For a larger saw like a 10 or 12 inch they would be labeled as general purpose.

    Most of the time, your lay woodworker isn't cutting through 4x4s but it isn't rocket science to know how to flip it over. I just did a one-week build for a high school themed banquet and didn't have to cut anything larger than 2x lumber so it is NOT useless.

    Great information, thanks for the video. Please don't take this the wrong way, I really mean it as constructive criticism and not as an insult, but the hand movement when you talk at the beginning of the video feels super unnatural and forced. It feels like someone who didn't know what to do with their hands and took a 15 minute crash course on hand gestures in public speaking.
