The Pointer sisters of course were asked about "Unsung " they respectively declined..don't know the particulars surrounding it but I'd say it's safe to bet there's so much to unpack before their books came out. 🤔

Guys, it's 2022, there's only 2 sister's left, they need to be inducted into the Rock&Roll hall of Fame already. They've contributed so much musically, covering every genre, it's only right. 🔥 🔥🔥

While I was praising Toni Braxton for her illustrious contralto in the 90s, I was quickly reminded that she had nothing on Ruth Pointer! The Pointer Sisters are no joke. Damn. Do your googles!

Toni Braxton is not a true contralto. She has the tone but her range is comfortably in the alto. She can't touch the bottom notes that lalah Hathaway and Ruth can go to. Toni really is a strong alto. Same thing with Anita Baker. Anita is a mezzo soprano. She and Toni just have deep tones. But both Ruth and Lalah actually can go into a man's range

MiamiPush2theLimit Unsung has episodes on James Brown, Shirley Caesar, The O’Jays, David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations, and Rick James. None of those people are Unsung. The Pointer Sisters definitely qualify.

My older sister use to thump me on my head if I got on her note..I would be crying and singing at 5 years old..I betchu I can sing on my note now!! My older sister and brother went to Fremont High School in Oakland in the 60's..Fremont and McClymonds were rivals!! My brother Michael Douglas when he hit the scene helped take Fremont to the TOC..

Love the Pointer Sisters. As an 80's kid they were the soundtrack of my childhood. Their brother Fritz was my professor in college. Cool cat. Ex Black Panther and all. Bay Area Stand Up.

Hey Miss Ruth Pointer! I can't even sit here and front like I'm a fan all like that. I know the singles (obviously), but hearin' yo' story makes me wanna do a little research to see what I've been missing. I love yo' personality too. Oakland in full force right now. I'm on the other side of that bridge. Goin' to Oakland was a weekend thing. My mom would take me with her every other weekend to Jack London Square and buy art. Then we'd go and visit her friend near Eastmont Mall and go up to the beauty supply store and she's buy me hella knockers and barrettes. Dag, I miss those days. Now, the only time I go to Oakland is if I need to go to Walmart. I can't handle that Oakland mentality. It's too much and I get nervous. I ain't got the skrength for it. Anyway, I wish you well, Ruth.

Yep...probably Anita is the only sister that remained unscathed during their formidable years. Her recreational use is nothing to even have a conversation about 🤷🏾‍♀️But the other sisters were off the chain with it.

100% truth.

Its my understanding that Ruth Pointer was married for a short period of time to DENNIS Edward whom Ruth also has a daughter with. One other thing Dennis Edward had Viral Menejitis.when he expired on February 2 2018 is there any connection between Ruth Pointer having carried the same viral Menejitis disease or is there any connection between the 2 persons or just a coincidence.
