I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't necessarily see the slant towards June's addiction, however, it seemingly found it's way into many of the chapters. What's truly missing is the recognition and appreciation for what these ladies did and how their sound was etched in our music for 20 years. You really forget all the hits they had, how many of their songs were featured in movies, Beverly Hills Cop, Car Wash, Donnie Brasco, etc. What makes any song worth it's weight in gold is when you know where you were, how old you were and what you were doing when that song came out. Not having these ladies in the Music Hall of Fame is a disgrace beyond measure. Prior to TLC they were the largest selling female group behind the Supremes. I'm truly happy for her!

That's true, when you start adding up all the movies they did songs and, it's a big list! We can add Beverly Hills Cop 2, Caddyshack 2, Action Jackson, Spaceballs, Dragnet...!

I'm pausing halfway through. I'm 41 Irish guy and I'm trying to give up the drink. Didn't want to get on treadmill this morning, but wow, I'm going to blast your music louder. Keep singing and keep talking.

I love ❤️ the Pointer Sisters, sadly 3 have passed on, R.I.P. June, Bonnie and Anita🙏🙏🙏. Ruth, you are an amazing, funny, beautiful woman, I love ❤️ your voice and music 🎶 . That is great how you continued The Pointer Sisters legacy with your daughter and grand daughter, hats off to you. You still look beautiful at 78 years young, and your voice is always beautiful to listen to, I love ❤️ Neutron Dance, and Automatic, some of my many favourite songs from the Pointer Sisters. I have grown up listening to these wonderful ladies, and I still watch the videos and interviews, they crack me up, how hilarious the Pointer Sisters were on their interviews. I am so happy 😊that you have found the 5th husband and are very happy, and have twins at 47 years old, WOW, you are Wonder Woman. All the best to you.🇨🇦❤️🎶👏🥰

@@eileenducote2546 I read Ruth's book, it's truly phenomenal. She's lived quite an interesting life. I was friends with Bonnie for over ten years, and have met Anita several times over the years.

That's nice...I feel like Anita was the real backbone imo because all the sisters had substance abuse issues except Anita, and she wrote and co wrote a lot of their hits including "excited " Co wrote with Bonnie "Fairytale " 1st Grammy and a country hit. I feel the most for her because she has lost her faith after her only daughter died from cancer, and in mostly every interview she's still crying about her loss.

I respectfully disagree. She does reveal June’s downfall (and her own story) in a brutally honest but compassionate manner..
