Lyrics:
Your eyes tell me how you love me
Can feel it in your heart beat
I know you like what you see
Hold me, I'll give that you need
Wrap your love around me
You're so excited, I can feel you
Getting hotter, oh baby
I'll take you down, I'll take you down
Where no one's ever gone before
And if you want more, if you want more
Jump for my love
Jump in and feel my touch
Jump you want to taste my kisses
In the night then

All the 'Queens' in Australia, on the GLBTI+ scene, loved this trio and their hit song JUMP. Even more so, when performed by 3 blokes in full drag known as 'The Troll Dolls' who rose to fame in the early 1980s in Melbourne performing in pubs and nightclubs around town.

When I first met my wife (she was a Singapore Airlines flight attendant, and I was a passenger), we went out on a couple of dates. She was 18. I was 20. She sent this song to my playlist, and I jumped. I jumped so high I am still in heaven and still jumping five years later; we are now the proud parents of two five-month-old identical twin boys and got married four weeks ago. Thank you, Pointer Sisters, and may those of you who are no longer with us sleep well until we one day meet.
Of the entire "Breakout" lineup, Ruth is the only current survivor as of Friday 6-9-23. I was 11yrs old when this came out & saw the music video on TV. My 1st stepmom had the Breakout cassette & got to listen to it in her car, worth it. I can't help but jump to this hit still at 50yrs old today. RIP June, Bonnie & Anita. Jump well in 😇.

They are not underrated, they are one of the greatest Girl groups in history. They did their thing in the 80's, like what the Supremes did in the 60's, as the only Girl Group to challenge the Beatles and Elvis Presley, and held their own. For the Pointer Sisters, it was Van Halen, Journey, Foreigner, despite going all pop from the different variety/genre of music they used to do, and still held their own against the boys!!!
The Pointer Sisters crossed a barrier for me. I am a '60's-70's Southern Rock guy...but they turned me on! What can I say? Outstanding!

Listening to these vintage classic songs by Black American musicians is truly an emotional experience. The impact that Black Americans have had on American music and culture is immense, and it's essential to recognize and appreciate their invaluable contributions. The Pointer Sisters, in particular, have crafted numerous hits that have left a lasting imprint on the American music landscape and culture. It's disheartening to see that their names may not be acknowledged as much as they deserve, considering their significant musical influence. It's crucial to shine a spotlight on these talented artists and ensure that their legacy is recognized and celebrated for the remarkable contributions they have made to the rich tapestry of American music.

@Jewel Clark Anyway, they just saw me sitting down in the front row, picked me out of all the other people there, & pulled me up on stage to this very song.
The greatest dance song ever--it has everything: the opening like a crescendo, a comet coming at you, the vocals, the beat, the synth fills from heaven--it has the power to bridge gaps between generations on the dance floor with no let up, no down time--only It takes two by Rob Base or September by EWF can come close...
Fantastic! The Pointer Sisters were phenomenal! And the 80s rule!
This song and video are incredible. The way the 3 sisters voices complimented each other, and the energy they showed while singing the song. Just all the different notes they hit, and having clips of these guys who were amazing athletes jumping just goes with song so well. I'm 47 and still love this video and song.
