Rusty Hand Press Juicer Machine - Restoration
In this video I restore a very old hand press juicer machine. I bought this juicer machine from flea market.This juicer machine is very rusted and part of its handle is broken and cannot be used as such.
I started the juicer machine restoration by disassembling all the parts of the machine.
After disassembling all the parts of the machine left the rusted parts of the machine in vinegar for 24 hours. And by removing the paint on the parts of the machine, all the casting marks removed And steel putty on machine parts and then painted۔After that some parts of the machine were buffed by hand sanding and some parts were blackened by hot blowing. Reassembled the machine after restoring all the parts.

You forgot to nickel plate it
Fantastic job you did restoring that hand press juicer. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.

great job . but you should have nickel plated the juicing parts.so it won't rust again

You are right that shiny things should be nickel plated! But I have heated these shiny things from the inside so they don't rust.
Looks great! Won't the shiny parts get rusty again? Maybe nickel plating them? :)

@@HOGISIMJAYUN I'm sorry I'm a newbie to these things, what is the problem with sandblasting? I mean if it's really lead paint, is it okay to leave the piece painted with it? It's just not good to sandblast it?

@@JessicaAVoigt I'm not an expert but from what I know, they do lead test before sandblasting to prevent lead inhalation. Paint dust will be all over your place while sandblasting and it's very dangerous to inhale it if its lead positive. Now if you used a paint stripper to remove the paint, the hazard of inhalation is obviously not there.
