I remember when my school tried to ban girls from wearing those those jean shorts or daisy dukes during the spring/summer time so in return us guys made our own and wore them the everyday the following week. They lifted that rule afterwards.

My old job made a rule that you had to raise your hand and wait to be called on if you had to go to the bathroom. Like we were children in school. There was a guy in his 60s that had only been there for about a month. He raised his hand and after 5 minutes no one called on him. It was a factory. He proceeded to shit right there in the floor in front of his machine just to protest. They tried to reprimand him but he went right to the office and told owner of the company that if he kept treating his employees like children then they will start behaving like children... MY FUCKING HERO

I know I've already said this, but one time, my school shut off the water. A bunch of rust appeared inside the pipes. When my teacher tried to get some water, a mixture of rust and water shot up in the air and my English teacher thought that day was a doomsday.

My senior year of high school, my principal enacted a “tardy lockdown.” At the bell, teachers had to lock their doors and kids had to go to the auditorium if they were late. One day, the bell rang while I was outside of my classroom, teachers locking eyes with me, and locking the door in my face. I had to walk to the other side of the very large school to the auditorium, get lectured with 50 other students, wait in line for a pass, and instead of being a few seconds late for class, I was over 20 minutes late.

My High school implimented a tardy rule where once the last bell rang, if you came in late you were given a red slip to take down to the office and sign a paper about being late to class. It was basically to shame kids for being late. As you can imagine, most kids just ditched if they knew they were late. Attendance plummeted, as did grades and the rule mysteriously vanished after only a few months of being in effect.

We had an anonymous bully reporting system implemented. The bullies started reporting their victims because they found out a report was an automatic three day suspension. My principal wasn't very smart...she ended up a janitor in a nearby school after getting fired/pushed out by the school board that same year. She had a lot of other issues (like bad teachers and poor online class liaisoning) so they decided it was time for her to get replaced.

My school made many rules that were direct results of me and my friend group, including not being allowed to sing "99 bottles of beer on the wall" in school, they did away with the rule when we created the much more obnoxious and long "99 bottles of child appropriate beverage on the wall".
